Nigerian First Lady Patience Jonathan Is Still Sick

Despite her return to Nigeria in pomp and circumstance about one month ago, First Lady Patience Jonathan is still sick.

Shortly after the public relations exercise that attended her return, she retired into a medically-induced bed rest that has her kept her away from the public, unable to attend to official duties.

It’s a classic case of birds of a feather flocking together.
From a UK jail, where he is doing time for corruption, came birthday greetings from former Delta State governor, James Ibori to disgraced ex-governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha.
Alamieyeseigha, who was governor in Bayelsa from 29 May 1999 to 9 December 2005, and was convicted for corruption, clock 60 years today.

Obama bribed women and youth to win – Romney

The candidate of the Republican Party in the just-concluded presidential election in the United States of America, Mitt Romney, said at a conference call with donors, on Thursday, that Barack Obama won the 2012 presidential campaign because of “gifts” given by the administration to black, Hispanic and young voters.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has reaffirmed that corruption remains a major problem militating against Nigeria’s speedy development.
Speaking at a lecture to mark the 40th anniversary of Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s call to ministry at the Word of Life Bible Church, Warri in Delta State, Obasanjo stressed the need to tackle corruption in the country, especially in the area of inflated contracts and abandoned projects.

Recommendations made by the controversial Ribadu Report would be looked into, President Goodluck Jonathan has set up white paper committees to prepare Draft White Papers on the reports of the Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force and two other reports on the nation’s oil sector.
The others are reports presented by the National Refineries Special Task Force and the Governance and Controls Special Task Force.

Actor Pete Eneh Is Dead!!!

Pete Eneh Passes On After Losing Leg To Amputation

News just reaching mob from a reliable source close to veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Eneh confirms that the actor has passed on.
According to the source, Pete Eneh died few moments ago at Park Lane hospital in Enugu. The actor, who lost one of his legs to amputation few days ago, has been battling with his infected leg after being unable to get proper medical attention when he first had pains in the leg.

We would update you with more detailed report on his death.

Teacher arrested after husband caught her having sex with 16-year-old exchange student in parking lot

A Florida teacher was arrested on felony charges this weekend after she was caught with her pants down having sex with a 16-year-old foreign exchange student.

Amie Neely, 38, was taken into custody on Sunday, told by a close source,after her husband tracked her location using the GPS on her phone and found her getting it on with the teenager in a nearby parking lot.

Neighbors reported the incident to the police after the teen showed up at a nearby home later that day and said he'd been kicked out of the house "because he had sex with Amie."

The student said he and Neely had slept together several times "during their affair" after initially exchanging text messages "referencing sexual connotations," according to the police report obtained by local media outlets, including in her bedroom when her husband wasn't home

Tinubu ejects LGA from headquarters, takes over prime property

Former Lagos State Governor and leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has taken over a prime property that was once the headquarters of Ikoyi-Obalande Local Government Development Area and relocated the local government secretariat to Obalende, a district in the commercial city of Lagos.

The huge and strategic parcel of land located at the junction of Alfred Rewane Road (Kingsway Road) and Glover Road in highbrow Ikoyi has been demolished to make way for prime construction believed to be blocks of serviced luxury flats

CBN orders banks to stop charging N100 for inter-bank ATM withdrawals

The Central Bank of Nigeria yesterday ordered all banks to stop charging customers N100 for inter-bank ATM withdrawals. The MD of First Bank, Bisi Onsanya told journalists that the decision was in line with 'popular trends' in other parts of the world.

“Presently when you use the ATM of a bank other than your bank, there is a charge of N100 which is borne by the account holder. We have decided that we will work out the modality and ensure that with immediate effect we would pass on this cost to the respective banks which bear the cost of providing services. No matter where you are withdrawing your money from, you will not be subjected to any charge for using the ATM. But for transaction on what we call “not on us”, when you are an FBN customer and you use the ATM of a GTB bank, it is free and it will no longer bear any cost.’’

The free inter-bank ATM regime would become effective immediately after banks agree on the modalities for the implementation of the new decision.
