President Buhari has appealed to APC members in the House of Representatives to put aside their differences and resolve their issues before today's plenary session. Speaking at a meeting which he convened yesterday, President Buhari insisted the party members in the lower chamber must respect the decision of the party regarding appointment of principal leaders in the house.

A minister in Jonathan's govt stole $6billion - Governor Oshiomole alleges

Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomole has alleged that a minister that served in former president Jonathan's administration stole a whooping $6billion. Governor Oshiomole made the allegation while speaking to state house correspondents after a meeting with President Buhari yesterday.

He said American officials made the alleged fraud known to the Buhari led delegation during the state visit to the US last week.

WAEC to withhold results of students in 19 states over N4billion debt

The West Africa Examinations Council, WAEC has threatened to withhold the results of students in 19 states that sat for the May/June 2015 WASSCE over nonpayment of candidates’ registration fees by their state governments.

Different state Governments had pledged to pay the WAEC fees of their state residents as part of their education policy but have so far failed to do so.

President Buhari reportedly begins negotiations with Boko Haram

There are reports that the presidency has started negotiations with Boko Haram. Stephen Keshi draggs NFF to court; demands N1billion compensation

Sacked Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is demanding N1billion compensation from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for defaming him. According to Vanguard, Keshi has dragged the NFF to court for “wrongful dismissal and defamation”. A top source told said

“Keshi’s lawyers have demanded for a billion Naira from the NFF as compensation for defaming their client.”

A letter from Keshi's lawyers was sent to NFF on Friday July 24th. Keshi was sacked by the NFF on July 5 just four months after he'd signed a new two-year contract to coach the Super Eagles.

Kwara state PDP says they are behind Toyin Saraki’s EFCC probe

PDP Kwara state chapter says its behind the invitation of the state's ex first lady and wife of senate president Toyin Saraki by the EFCC. In a statement released today July 26th, the state chapter said it had earlier petitioned the antigraft agency over Mrs Saraki's alleged involvement in corrupt activities with some government officials during her husband's administration as governor of Kwara state. The party in the statement said Mrs Saraki's arrest and detention is long overdue
