A woman died after being trapped in a burning vehicle on Christiaan de Wet Road at about 6am this morning.

A Ford Fiesta was travelling towards Ontdekkers Road, South Africa, when it veered into oncoming traffic due to the wet road. It is also alleged that the driver was speeding.

Russia has revealed that the U.S government's decision to send 4000 troops and military vehicles/equipments to Poland and Germany is a threat to Russia's interests and security.

Early this week, the U.S deployed 4000 troops and 2,400 pieces of military equipment that included tanks, armored fighting vehicles, artillery, trucks and containers to Russia's European borders in Germany and Poland, an action U.S Military described as a clear 'warning to Russia', to prevent them from showing military superiority to 'smaller' European nations just like they did Ukraine.

Nollywood actor, Kanayo .O. Kanayo has gone back to school to continue his education. The actor, who resumed classes at the University of Abuja, made the announcement on his Instagram yesterday.

The Department of State Security Service (DSS), Osun State Command, said it has arrested a herbalist and a commercial driver for allegedly kidnapping and killing a 400 Level Science Education student of Osun State University, Osogbo, Adebisi Rofiat Damilola.

A 28 year old 'Miss Italy' beauty queen, Gessica Notaro was rushed to the hospital this week after her ex-lover Jorge Edson Tavares, 29, allegedly threw acid on her face while she was at home in Rimini, Italy.
She suffered deep burns on her legs, hips, face, and hands and will require extensive plastic surgery according to the doctors in the hospital.

46-year-old Ericka Bellamy Joseph and her 9-year-old daughter, Akili Joseph, were found dead at their home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in what is believed to have been a murder-suicide.

Though no one was there to witness the incident, Ericka Bellamy who used to be in the marine is believed to have killed her daughter before taking her own life.

President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Banjul, the capital of Gambia, today to continue his role as the chief mediator in the political crisis in Gambia. A 25 year old woman, Antonieta Robles Saouda was arrested after she tried to break her boyfriend out of prison by stuffing him into a pink suitcase and trying to wheel him out. Saouda took her 6-year-old daughter to visit her boyfriend, Ibrain Jose Vargas Garcia at the Jose Antonio Anzoategui prison in Venezuela with the plan to smuggle him out of the facility and live happily ever after as a happy family.

Court fixes March 23 for judgment on Cynthia Osokogu’s murder

March 23rd has been set aside as the day the Lagos State High Court Igbosere will give judgment on the trial of four men charged with the gruesome murder of Cynthia Osokogu, a postgraduate student of Nassarawa State University. The deceased was murdered on July 22nd 2012 at Cosmilla Hotel, Lake View Estate, Festac, Lagos where she had allegedly gone to meet a man she met on Facebook.

The accused men have pleaded not guilty to all the six count charges of conspiracy, murder, stealing, reckless negligence and possession of stolen goods, leveled against them by the Lagos State govt.

President Jacob Zuma set to endorse his ex-wife as next SA President

Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, who had four children with President Zuma before their divorce in 1998, is the leading candidate to take office as president at the 2019 general election.

Speaking to SABC's Nguni radio station, Zuma made the remarks saying:

'It is no longer a discussion in the ANC whether a woman can take a high leadership position or not,” Zuma said on local radio.

Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide International aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has asked God to break Nigeria if it is his will to do so.

According to Vanguard, Oyedepo said this recently while preaching in one of his services where he reigned curses on the sponsors of the Southern Kaduna crisis that has reportedly claimed well over 3000 lives.
