Nigerian singer, Korede Bello seems to have just acquired a new whip! The Godwin crooner took to Instagram to share photos of himself smiling as he posed beside a new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. Investigations reveal that the sport car currently retails at over $66k which is over N33 million  with the current exchange rate. If indeed he just bought the car, Congrats!

23 teachers dismissed in Zambia over sex with students

The  teaching Service Commission says 23 teachers have been dismissed in Zambia for sexually abusing and impregnating pupils from January 2014 to December 2016. Teaching Service Commission chairperson Jennifer Chiwela said in an interview in Lusaka that the teachers were dismissed for various offences which include having sexual relations with pupils and impregnating others.

Mrs Chiwela said, however, no teacher was dismissed for such offences in Lusaka and Copperbelt provinces.

Kano DSS Director, Abdullahi Chiranchi dies at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital

The Director of the Kano office of State Security Service, SSS, Abdullahi Chiranchi, has died. He died today at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital following complains of stomach cramps. He will be buried today in Katsina state according to Islamic rites. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

Woman married to British man for 27 years faces deportation from UK

A woman who has been married to a British man for almost 30 years is being held in a Scottish detention centre and is set to be deported back to her home country.

Irene Clennel, who lives in Ouston, near Chester-le-Street, in County Durham, was detained at a routine appointment at an immigration reporting centre in Middlesbrough last month.

DSS arraigns CAN chairman's son for supporting Apostle Johnson Suleman

Warri-based legal practitioner and son of the South-South Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Mr. Tareri Avwomakpa, has been arrested and arraigned by Operatives of the Department of State Services have arrested and arraigned over his Whatsapp message which allegedly revealed that he was soliciting support for Apostle Johnson Suleman.
On Tuesday, Tareri, was invited to the Delta State office of the Service in Asaba, and was later detained and charged at a magistrate’s court. He was however granted bail by the court on Thursday.

DSS operatives beats teacher to a pulp for punishing a student

Some DSS operatives yesterday, stormed the Federal Government Girls’ College, FGGC, Calabar, and beats some teachers who taught in the school, beatings of their lives for daring to flog a student.

The said student, who is in senior secondary class, reportedly took some junior students to sweep her class, an act that did not go down well with a teacher, Mr. Owai Owai, who decided to punish the entire senior students of the class for flouting his instructions not to force junior students to sweep their class.

Nigerian Air Force virgin allegedly drugged, raped and sacked by superior heads to court

A Nigerian Air Force personnel, Igbobie Uzezi, who accused one of her superiors, Flight Lieutenant B.S Vibelko, of drugging and raping her in 2011, has sued him along with the Air Force, Chief of Air Staff, and Attorney-General of the Federation, for her unlawful dismissal.

The suit, number FHC/L/CS/10/17, was filed at the Federal High Court, Lagos Division on January 5, 2017, by the Malachy Ugwummadu Chambers on behalf of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, which is handling the case.

Operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS, have picked up former governor of Delta state, James Ibori. A source at DSS says he was picked up for a routine questioning with the Director General of DSS, Lawal Daura. The source added that he will not be detained.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), says it has mobilised about 15,000 youths to welcome President Buhari at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, from vacation. President Buhari is expected to return to Nigeria on February 6, following a 10-day vacation in London. Malam Gambo Jagindi, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President of NYCN, Murtala Gamji, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday in Abuja. More than 100,000 visas revoked after Donald Trump's travel ban

More than 100,000 visas have been revoked from travellers heading to the US under Donald Trump's travel ban, according to a US Department of Justice lawyer. The number came during a Virginia court hearing for a lawsuit filed by two Yemeni brothers who had flown in to Dulles International Airport last Friday and were quickly put on a return flight to Ethiopia.
"The gasp was audible in the room," Simon Sandoval-Moshenberg of the Legal Aid Justice Center, who represents the brothers, told The Independent.
