Veteran Nollywood actor, Sadiq Dabah has been very ill for a while. He's battling Leukemia and prostate cancer and he needs 20milion naira for treatment.

Nigerian author, Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni has called on Nigerians to save the ailing veteran Nollywood actor saying rather than waiting for succour to come from politicians or government, only 20,000 Nigerians can raise 20 million Naira in a single day, by contributing 1000 Naira each to assist Dabah to seek urgent medical attention abroad.

20-year old Indian representative, Manushi Chhillar was today crowned as the 2017 Miss World at the classic event that held in Sanya City Arena, China.

India got the title 17 years. The last Indian queen to win the Miss World pageant was Priyanka Chopra in 2010. Manushi is the 6th Indian queen to win the beauty pageant. Manushi, who is a 20-year-old medical student, beat 117 other finalists at the event.

Rapper Meek Mill's request to get out of solitary confinement seems to have come true after TMZ on Saturday morning reported that the rapper has been moved to another prison meant for general population.

According to the News platform, an official at the State Correctional Institution in Chester, PA said the rapper was just transferred to the prison and out of Camp Hill. He says the Philly rapper is currently in general population and has his own cell.

The defamation suit filed by the President/Founder of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman, against Canada-based lady Stephanie Otobo stalled on Thursday as the defendant was absent in court. Suleman filed the lawsuit against 23-year Otobo, after the latter claimed that she was into a romantic relationship with him.

The cleric is seeking N1bn damages for the alleged defamation of his character by Otobo. But Otobo was absent before Justice Adedayo Oyebanji of the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, where the matter came up for hearing on Thursday. She was also not represented by any lawyer.

Thousands of protesters take to the streets chanting 'Robert Mugabe must go'

Thousands of people have gathered in the centre of Harare to call for the resignation of Robert Mugabe, as moves to force the Zimbabwean president to stand down gather momentum.

The rally is supported by the army and members of the ruling Zanu-PF party. War veterans who until last year were loyal to the president are also saying Mr Mugabe should quit.

US appears to back Zimbabwe military coup as top official says it wants a "new era"‬

The United states appears to have thrown its weight behind the military coup which brought Robert Mugabe's 37 year reign to an end. In an interview with Reuters, acting Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Donald Yamamoto said: "It's a transition to a new era for Zimbabwe, that's really what we're hoping for."

93-year old Mugabe has not resigned or been formally deposed but Yamamoto appeared to dismiss the idea of Mugabe remaining in a transitional or ceremonial role. Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting with African Union officials at the State Department in Washington, he described the situation in Zimbabwe as "very fluid."

'Nigerian doctors are killing people' Actor Yomi Gold weeps as he mourns his friend who died during an operation in a Nigerian hospital

A distraught Yomi Gold Alore shared a video of himself weeping over the loss of one of his bosom friends named Tope pictured left. According to Yomi's post, Tope had an operation here in Nigeria and died in the process. Yomi is blaming the rot in the Healthcare system in Nigeria for the death of his friend.
