Airtel Unveils New Network Campaign in Nigeria
Speaking at a press conference to unveil the new campaign in
Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria,
Segun Ogunsanya said the network campaign was necessary because the company had
invested enormous resources to the upgrading of its network infrastructure and
has made significant CAPEX (capital expenditure) investment towards improving
network quality, also stating that Airtel currently has the widest and largest
3.75G coverage in the country.

Father accused of raping his own daughters and granddaughter
A seven-year-old girl (name withheld and face blurred), has accused her 49-year-old father of rape. The girl said her father, Sylvester Ehijele, had on numerous occasions had sex with her, adding that he used to promise to buy her goodies and toys before the actions. Photo:
She said he usually had sex with her on a daily basis whenever her mother was not home.
She said, “Whenever my mum is not at home, he grabs me, forces his hand over my mouth and then inserts his penis into my private part. He promises to buy me a car, cake and biscuit but he doesn’t buy anything for me.

Bola Tinubu backs amnesty for Boko Haram
While commiserating with the Emir of Kano in Kano today over the attack
on him and his convoy in January, former Lagos State governor Bola
Tinubu made some controversial statements. He called for the granting of
amnesty to some Boko Haram militants. Tinubu said:
For the innocent ones among them, there must be amnesty. We cannot fight a war in our own country against minor crimes and minor people. We would only end up multiplying these people by trying to use force against our own citizens. I therefore disagree with the President; they are not ghosts.
What do you guys make of his statement?Are those people in prison ghosts? If they are, why are prison officials looking after them? Are JTF operatives fighting ghosts, do they possess magic power to see ghosts?”

I, Jesse Garba Abaga (also known as “Jesse Jagz”) an artist formerly signed to Chocolate City Music label hereby wishes to notify my fans and the general public about my voluntary exit from the label.
After my initial two year contractual agreement with Chocolate City, I do not wish to renew my contract with them and as such have proceeded to continue my music career with my new team at Jesse Jagz Nation. Famous Indian actor Sanjay Dutt sentenced to five years in prison
Mr. Dutt was sentenced to six years in prison in 2007 for illegal possession of weapons that were supplied to him by men subsequently convicted in the bombing. That court cleared Mr. Dutt of involvement with the bombing plot. He has denied involvement with the attacks and said he asked for the guns to protect his family.
He appealed the decision at the Supreme Court and was let out on bail in 2007. He has remained at liberty since then until today. The court reduced his sentence to five years but said the circumstances and nature of offense was so serious that Mr. Dutt cannot be released on probation. Mr. Dutt, 53 years old, already has spent a cumulative 18 months in jail on related charges.
Mr. Dutt will have to surrender within four weeks to serve the sentence, the court said.

'We kidnap victims from Imo State, take them to Rivers state':
Suspected leader of a kidnap syndicate that abducted the Managing Director, Naija Plaza Hotel, Oguta, Imo state and a pregnant woman and killed them after collecting ransom from their relatives, has been arrested by Policemen attached to Ilemba Hausa division in Lagos.
The suspect, Chika Richard Nwabiarijie, who hails from Omoku Local Government Area of Rivers state, was arrested in a hotel around Ojo area, in the company of his wife.
26-year-old Richard, reportedly fled Rivers state to take cover in Lagos, following the arrest of other members of his gang by the Imo state Police command.
