According to the Edo State Police PRO, a Russian made double barrel gun
with eight rounds of cartridges, two loaded in the gun, were found on
Ibrahim (pictured above). Ibrahim's family and friends are protesting
his death, denying claims he was an armed robber. Ibrahim was shot on
the 27th of May and buried the next day by the police without his family
being informed.
According to CSP's Carol's husband, her orderly PC Amadi Idahosa shot
and killed Ibrahim when the deceased allegedly tried to reach into his
bag to pull out his weapon and harm the corporal who was conducting the
stop and search along Siloku road by Obayuwana junction, Benin that
Monday night.
The Governor of Edo State, Governor Adams Oshiomhole and the Inspector
General of Police, have ordered probe into the case to unravel the real
circumstances that led to the killing.
