DSS invites controversial clergyman, Johnson Suleman, for interrogation

After a failed attempt to arrest him in Ekiti state last Wednesday, the Department of State Security, has invited controversial Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, for interrogation over his recent comments asking Christians to attack armed herdsmen that try to attack them. He is to appear at the DSS Headquarters in Abuja on Monday January 30th by 10am.

Mark Zuckerberg criticizes President Trump on immigration

Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg expressed concern on Friday over Trump's latest executive orders on immigration and refugees.

"My great grandparents came from Germany, Austria and Poland. Priscilla's parents were refugees from China and Vietnam. The United States is a nation of immigrants, and we should be proud of that. Like many of you, I'm concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders signed by President Trump" Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post, which cited his family's immigrant background and his volunteer work with undocumented schoolchildren.

The Nigeria Police has declared one Lilian Omekara wanted for the offence of conspiracy and stealing by conspiring with fraudsters to transfer over N29million to her account. She has since withdrawn the money and is currently at large.

Also declared wanted is Nelson Omuzagha. He is wanted for the offence of conspiracy and stealing in a new generation bank by fraudulent conversion of customers' deposits to the tune of N72million.

Religious crisis: CAN applauds Apostle Johnson Suleman for being vocal, says Osinbajo's silence on the matter is no longer golden

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has released a statement, applauding controversial clergyman and Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, for being vocal in the face of the repeated killing of Christians by some herdsmen in some parts of the country.

Photos: Notorious kidnapping kingpin abducted by gunmen at Owerri High Court

Unknown gunmen on Friday morning stormed the Owerri High Court in a commando style, scared everybody off with gunshots and rescued a notorious kidnapping kingpin, Henry Chibueze a.k.a Vampire and two others.
The suspect is pictured in 2015 being paraded at the premises of Imo Police command, after his arrest following five years of unsuccessful manhunt. He was facing criminal charges bothering on armed robbery, kidnapping, murder, etc.

Nigeria is sharing the position with Lebanon, Myanmar, Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan and Papua New Guinea. Denmark, New Zealand and Finland were ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd least most corrupt countries which North Korea was ranked as the most corrupt country followed closely by South Sudan and Somalia.

The defense lawyer of Apostle Akan Weeks of Reigners Bible church Uyo, Barr Ini Ekpo was reportedly shot in his two legs in the early hours of Thursday morning, 26th January, 2017. The superstar visited a school in Lilongwe, Malawi on Thursday Jan. 26th. The 28-year-old pop star toured the classrooms and met with the students during her charity trip on behalf of her Clara Lionel Foundation.

She was also in the African country working as the ambassador for charities Global Citizen and the Global Partnership for Education.

Serena beat her older sister in the Australian Open final 6-4 6-4 to win her 23rd grand slam title to surpass Steffi Graf for the Open Era lead.

Hollywood legend and Harry Porter actor John Hurt, dies aged 77

British actor, John Hurt who garnered Oscar nominations for his roles in "Midnight Express" and "The Elephant Man," has died at the age of 77, his agent confirmed this morning. He died yesterday Jan. 27th in London just 5 days after his 77th birthday.

Hurt worked more than six decades in television, movies and voice work in England and the United States. He recently played a priest who counsels Jacqueline Kennedy in last year's biopic "Jackie".

Yesterday, Five Star Music arrested Harrysong for breach of contract. Ace Nigerian comedian has been off social media for a while, supposedly due to his health and his fans have been understandably worried. Good news is he seems better now, enough to send out a message of gratitude to his fans and supporters on Instagram. He shared a photo of The Rock with a quote on it then captioned it:

The late literary icon who championed women and girls in her writing, died at her London home at the age of 72. Some of her works included The Joys of Motherhood, Second-Class Citizen and The Bride Price. Her first book, In The Ditch, details her experience as a poor, single parent in London.

Actor, Osita Iheme, popularly known as Pawpaw has launched his own music record label and has signed a record deal with two young artists. Pawpaw revealed that he launched his record label, Young Boss Record, to give talented Nigerians a chance. To this end, he has signed two new acts, Barrister Max and Charisma, and both artists are said to have released their individual singles.
