The Federal Government yesterday said it recovered a total of N7.8 billion, $378 million, and 27,000 pounds through the whistle-blower policy. A teenage high school student has died after being trapped in the seat of his minivan in Cincinnati. Kyle Plush called 911, aware that his situation was dire after he became stuck. The 16-year-old sophomore used an automated assistant on his smartphone to make the call Tuesday outside Seven Hills School in Cincinnati. He did not tell the authorities what had happened to him. He said only that he was trapped in his minivan and could not hear them but he hoped they could hear his cries for help.

Hit and run driver kills FUTA student returning from church

Deborah Ifejuwura Olajide, a 200 level Food Science Technology student of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, has been killed by a hit and run driver.

Offa Robbery: Police arrest two suspects in Lagos state

The police have trailed and arrested in Lagos two robbery suspects who took part in the deadly attack on five banks and a police station in Offa on 5 April, killing as many as 17 people.

Jimoh Moshood, the Police Police PRO identified the two suspects as 39 year-old Alexander Reuben and 28 year-old Jimoh Isa.They were all arrested on 11 April. They were among the 12 suspects so far arrested by the police.

Former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe is to be summoned by a committee of lawmakers in Zimbabwe to testify at a parliament probe into lost revenue from diamond mining.

The lawmakers plan to question Mugabe over his 2016 claim that the country had lost $15 billion (R180 billion) in income from diamonds due to corruption and foreign exploitation, Kenya’s Daily Nation reported on Wednesday.
