Sokoto state residents gather to pray for President Buhari (photos)

Barely 24 hours after they were dismissed, two out of the nine directors of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have been recalled. The recalled directors are Adamu Abdullahi, Director of Consumer Protection, and Capt. Ayodele Sasegbon, Director of General Aviation.

General Manager, Public Relations, NCAA, Sam Adurogboye, announced their recall today and said that their sack have been rescinded.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission yesterday raided one of the houses owned by former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin in Anyigba, Kogi State. The raid was carried out following a tipoff that there might be some stolen money hidden in the ex-military chief's house.

During the raid, EFCC operatives who drove in a pick up hilux van, ransacked the house, turning open sewage tank and breaking into the ceiling. However the search was fruitless as they couldn't find anything incriminating.

The Federal Government has appointed three new Directors and a General Manager for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

A statement signed by the Acting General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Henrietta Yakubu, the newly appointed directors are Group Captain U.S.A. Sadiq, appointed as Director of Security Services (DSS), Capt. Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu, appointed as Director of Airport Operations (DAO); Engr. Salisu Nura Daura, appointed as Director of Maintenance and Engineering; and Aniefiok Umoh appointed as General Manager, Finance.

The world's first transgender doll was released this month by New York based doll company, Tonner Doll. The doll is based on Jazz Jennings, the 16-year-old transgender teenager who has identified as female since she was just a toddler (pictured right - she's a YouTube personality, spokesmodel, TV personality and LGBTQ rights activist). The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Thursday, reintroduced charges on cash deposits in banks after its' 493rd meeting with the Banker's committee, This would take effect at different dates in different parts of the country. Federal government sacks all directors at NCAA

The Federal government has ordered the immediate sack of all directors in the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The letter of their dismissal was issued from the Ministry of Transport.

Confirming the dismissals to newsmen, the general manager of NCAA, Sam Adurugboye, said the reason for the sack was however not stated in the letter.

A woman received the greatest shock of her life when she walked in on her grown son, eating the flesh of a 7-year-old boy he dragged off the street.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have struck a Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) location at Tagoshe/Mandara Mountain general area about 10km Southwest of Gwoza in Northern Borno.

According to a statement released today, an Intelligence report by sister surface forces, had it that remnants of fleeing BHTs were gathered at the location.
