Davido and Wizkid nominated for 2017 MTV EMA Award

MTV has announced the nominees for the 2017 MTV EMA Awards and Nigerian superstars, Wizkid and Davido will battle it out for Best African Act alongside four other nominees. On the international scene, Taylor Swift leads with six nominations followed by Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran with four nominations each. The 2017 EMAs will take place in London on November 12 and will be hosted by Rita Ora. See nominees below:

The distraught widow of a man who filmed himself dying after letting a mamba bite him when she left him says she cannot bring herself to watch the footage. Well-known Russian snake expert Arslan Valeev, 31, pleaded with viewers to call Ekaterina 'Katya' Pyatyzhkina as he visibly deteriorated live on YouTube.

Katya, 24, has now revealed she rushed to the home they used to share after she got a call but was too late as her husband had been taken to hospital where he died. She said:

Housewife bathes husband’s sexual organs with pepperish hot water in Lagos

A 31-year-old housewife, Ngozi Obasi, who allegedly poured a pot of hot water mixed with pepper on her husband’s private part, on Thursday appeared in an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos. The accused, who resides at 17, Fatiregun St., Ilaye in Ebute Meta, is charged with attempted murder to which she pleaded not guilty.

The Ghanaian artiste behind the viral hit song “One corner” “Patapaa Amisty” has revealed he is yet to gain financially from the popular song. In an interview with Gatuso on ghana radio station “KasapaFM”,he said

A furious wife was filmed smashing her car repeatedly into her husband's after discovering he was having an affair.

A witness filmed the scene in the city of Arica, in Chile as the woman deliberately drove her red BMW into her husband's black car. Chilean police said the woman started her destructive driving after seeing her husband pick up another woman from a shop doorway.

A Japanese journalist worked herself to death by doing 159 hours of overtime in a month and taking just two days off. Miwa Sado, a political journalist for the country's national broadcaster, suffered a heart failure in July 2013, but her employer only made the tragic case public this week.

Sado, who was 31 at the time, was a reporter in charge of covering the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Pope denounces new technologies that help people to change gender

Pope Francis is denouncing how new technologies are making it easier for people to change gender, saying this “utopia of the neutral” risks the creation of new life.

Francis made the comments Thursday to the Pontifical Academy for Life, the Vatican’s bioethics advisory board, taking up his criticism of so-called gender theory and the idea that people can choose their sex.

A woman in Saudi Arabia has died in a car crash as she was learning how to drive. This has occurred less than a week after it was announced that the country is lifting the ban on female drivers.

The incident took place in Jeddah, near the Red Sea, reportedly during the woman's first driving lesson, Gulf News reports.

FIFA has banned Equatorial Guinea from the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France for fielding 10 ineligible players and using forged documents The players all took part in qualifying for the 2016 Olympic women’s tournament in Brazil.

FIFA has also imposed a fine of $102,000 on the country’s football association. The two-time champions will not feature at the 2020 Olympics and the next two Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2018 and 2020.

The attack carried out by Stephen Paddock, 64, from inside a suite in Mandalay Bay Hotel led to the death of 59 people with over 500 concertgoers still recovering from bullet sustained injuries. Sack told RadarOnline that victims could sue the killer, but considering how many people were affected in the attack, the killer's money couldn't possibly pay them all so they could eventually sue the hotel and also promoters of the concert that was taking place when the attack was carried out.

62-year-old British author, Kazuo Ishiguro wins 2017 Nobel Prize in Literature

Kazuo Ishiguro, 62, a famous British author best known for his novel “The Remains of the Day”, has won the 2017 Nobel Literature Prize.

"In novels of great emotional force, has uncovered the abyss beneath our illusory sense of connection with the world,” the Academy wrote in its citation.

Thirteen students, comprising nine females and four males, of the Islamic Senior High School (ISSEC) in Kumasi, are facing the school?s disciplinary committee for misconduct after a video of some of them dancing to the popular 'One Corner song went viral on social media.

In the video which was shot in a classroom, the students dressed in their uniforms, can be seen taking turns to dance.
