#WorldTeachersDay: Governor Willie Obiano approves the promotion of Teachers In Anambra State

The governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano has signed the 2015 and 2016 promotion of all teachers and other civil servants in the state and local government service.

The governor made the announcement to excited teachers who gathered for the 2017 World Teachers Day celebration at the Teachers’ House in Awka, the state capital. 

Besides the implementation of the promotion, the governor also said 5,000 teachers would be employed in the coming year to replace retired teachers and support the aging ones. Obiano said the number of teachers for abroad training would surpass the 36 that went in 2016, to improve and expand the teachers’ knowledge and experience.
