Nollywood actor, Yusuf Satia, is dead



The news of his death was made known on Tuesday by fellow actor, Kunle Afod on his verified Instagram page.
Afod on his page wrote, “So sad to hear this …RIP Yusuf Satia Is gone… Tried so much to see you this year and celebrate you but it was aborted.”
Satia was more known for his role in the Yoruba movie titled, ‘Ijinle Pam Pam’.

The cause of Satia’s death is yet to be known.

MTN begins trial of e-SIM in Nigeria


MTN Nigeria Plc has commenced the trial of embedded SIM services on its network as part of its drive to lead digital transformation, and improve customer experience and quality of service.

During a virtual media launch of the e-SIM, the telecom company said it had received approval from the Nigerian Communications Commission to begin the trial.

Eight Lagos cops detained for extorting social media influencer


The Lagos State Police Command has arrested eight police personnel for their alleged involvement in the assault and extortion of a social media influencer, Olumide Bakare.

Confirming the arrest, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, said the errant cops would be subjected to the orderly room trial after the conclusion of investigation into the matter.

NAF 1st female combat helicopter pilot dies in road accident

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the death of Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, who died on July 14, as a result of head injuries sustained from a road traffic accident at NAF Base Kaduna.‬
Late Arotile was the first female combat helicopter pilot in the NAF.
Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, made this known in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
