Born in 1094 A.D. at Armagh, Ireland, Saint Malachy is also known as: Maolmhaodhog ua Morgair; Maol Maedoc; and Malachy O'Morgair. He died as he himself predicted, on November 2, 1148 at Clairvaux, France. Malachy was canonized the first Irish Saint in the Catholic Church by Pope Clement III in 1190 A.D.

In 1139 AD, a man named St. Malachy was given a prophetic vision. He saw all of the Catholic Popes that would come in the future. He wrote down a short description of each one. Throughout history, each one has been accurate. He foresaw 112 Popes until Jesus returned and that # 111 would see the beginning of the tribulation. The current Pope is # 111. Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi resigns

One day after winning the Africa Nations cup, coach Stephen Okechukwu Keshi has resigned as the coach of the Super Eagles. He handed over his resignation letter to the Nigerian Football Federation after a dramatic falling out with the Federation. He said something about not being given a free hand by the minister.

2011 Miss Lacasera loses elder sister in horrific car crash

Miss Lacasera 2011, Nwando Ebeledike (left) lost her elder sister, Chisom Ebeledike (right) in a horrific car crash in the wee hours of Saturday February 2nd around Lekki, Lagos.

24 year old Chisom was driving alone in her Honda Element after leaving a bar early that morning when she lost control of her car. The element somersaulted several times before crashing into an electric pole. The car was totaled and Chisom died instantly. Her car was later toled from the scene of the accident to a police stateion, while her body was taken to the mortuary.

Chisom used to live in the UK before relocating to Nigeria a few years back. So sad! May her soul rest in peace...amen.

Britney Spears ditches the Grammys, goes shopping instead

There was one superstar missing from last night's Grammy Awards — she went shopping instead.

While the biggest stars in pop and rock were putting the finishing touches to their hair and make-up backstage at the Staples Center — eight-time nominee Britney Spears was 40 miles away at a suburban shopping mall.
Eight years after she scooped her only Grammy Award for Toxic — Brit chose to detox with some treatments at Forever Bella Skin and Tanning in Thousand Oaks, rather than mingle with the likes of Rihanna, Adele and her ex Justin Timberlake.
The 31-year-old was snapped strolling through the Village Glen mall dressed down in a pair of untrendy stonewash jeans and a lowcut tiger-stripe top — with heavy black make-up around her eyes.

She's reportedly in talks to perform a nightly show at a Las Vegas casino. Two Vegas hot spots are said to be tussling over the chance to secure a residency with the star - Caesar's Palace and Planet Hollywood.

If she signs on the dotted line, she'll earn millions, following in the footsteps of the likes of Celine Dion, Bette Midler and Elton John — who's in the middle of a residency at the gambling Mecca.

EFCC re-arraigns Femi Fani-Kayode over alleged money laundering

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday re-arraigned a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, over alleged money laundering.

Fani-Kayode appeared before Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of a Federal High Court in Lagos, on a 47-count charge. He, however, pleaded not guilty.

His counsel, Chief Ladi Williams, prayed the court to allow him to continue with the bail granted him by Justice Ramat Mohammed, who earlier handled the case.

Nse Ikpe Etim to wed February 14th

The actress who got engaged around Christmas 2012 will be getting married this week, February 14th..or maybe Feb 13th.

Nse is marrying a man she dated when she much younger. They broke up many years back but re-connected recently. He is UK based so she will be relocating to the UK after the wedding, though sources close to the actress tell me she will continue acting. Just like Uche Jombo R, she will be in Nigeria when she needs to be.

3 South Korean doctors killed,1 beheaded, in Yobe

Two days after nine health workers were killed in Kano, three doctors were this morning killed in Yobe State.

The Yobe state police commissioner Sanusi Rufai told the AFP news agency that armed men entered the doctors' flat in the town of Potiskum either late last night or early this morning and slit their throats.

They say a South Korean doctor was beheaded while two others - either South Koreans or Chinese had their throats slit.

The doctors worked at the General Hospital in Potiskum and they routinely travelled through the town without security guards. How sad!
