There are reports making the rounds that two weeks after Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime returned to Nigeria after spending four months in a UK hospital, that he has been flown abroad again for medical attention. No word yet on when he travelled or the country he traveled to...

Denrele Edun's family attacked by armed robbers at their home

Denrele Edun and his family were attacked by armed robbers around 3am early this morning at their family home on Borno Way, Ebute Metta, Yaba. Denrele, his sister, father, grandmother and cousins were all home when the 5 armed men broke into their home. They carted away property - grandma's jewellery, cash, phones, laptops, watches, gadgets and a brand new plasma screen - but thankfully no one was seriously injured. The insecurity in this country...Dear Lord!

The story is that of a strange love. For anyone that heard of a man shooting his wife in the course of a quarrel, the reaction would be that such an act should be punished.

But it sounds strange to hear that the woman would still profess love for such a person or even plead for him at the police station, despite sustaining injuries from the shot fired by the husband for whom she was carrying a second child.

Kwara State Commissioner of Police shot dead in Enugu

Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Chinwike Asadu, was shot dead around 10 pm last night near his home in Amorji Nike area in Enugu State by unknown gunmen. His driver and orderly who were with him at the time of the attack were shot too but were not killed. They are both lying critically ill at the hospital.

The commissioner visited his home in Enugu at the weekend and was driving into his personal residence after dropping a visitor off when he was attacked and killed. Unfortunately he only took his orderly and driver with him when he went out that evening. His official police escort team that came with him from Kwara were in his house. The police have vowed to find the commissioner's killers.

UK teenagers found guilty of manslaughter for killing a 15-yr old Nigerian boy

The 14 year old girl who ordered the stabbing of 15 year old Nigerian boy, Junior Nkwelle, for being ‘disrespectful’ was found guilty of manslaughter yesterday March 1, 2013. 

Junior and his friends had been playing football near his home when an argument broke out. The teenage girl claimed Junior had insulted her during the argument. She then called her 16 year old boyfriend on the phone to a housing estate in Brixton and ordered him to ‘teach Junior a lesson’. The boyfriend thrust a carving knife once into Junior's chest, killing him. This happened in September 2012.

The teenage girl and her boyfriend were cleared of murder by a jury yesterday, but they are facing long prison terms after being  found guilty of manslaughter.

President Alassane Ouattara late Friday in Abidjan conferred Cote D’Ivoire’s highest honour, the Grand Cross of the Order of the Nation on President Jonathan in appreciation of Nigeria’s contributions to peace, stability and progress in Cote D’Ivoire.

According to the rep:

'Goodluck Jonathan is eligible to run in 2015' - Abuja High Court

An Abuja High Court has yesterday put to rest the issue of whether President Jonathan is eligible to contest in the 2015 presidential election, if he wants to. A lawyer, Mr Cyriacus Njoku had filed a suit challenging the president's eligibility to contest in 2015.

Below is what the presiding judge, Justice Oniyangi, said in his ruling...

"After the death of Umar Yar'Adua, there was no election or bye election, President Jonathan was merely asked to assume the office of the President in line with Doctrine of necessity. He was not elected as the President but was made to assume office by virtue of Yar'Adua's death.

“Having exhausted the late President's tenure, he sought for his party's ticket and ran for the office of the President successfully in 2011 general election. He is therefore currently serving his first tenure of office and if he so wishes, he is eligible to further seek his party's ticket through the party's primary election and to run for office in 2015," , adding that President Jonathan’s tenure as President started in May 29, 2011, when he took the oath of office and not on May 6, 2010, when he assumed office after Umaru Yar’Adua’s demise.

Man arrested for killing openly gay mayoral candidate, Marco McMillian

22 year old Larry Reed (right) has been arrested and charged for the murder of openly gay mayoral candidate, Marco McMillian (left). Marco's body was found near a Mississippi River Levee on Wednesday February 27th.

Reed was driving McMillian's vehicle when it crashed head-on into another car the same day the popular 34 year old Mississippi politician went missing. Police are investigating the murder but do not believe it was politically motivated. They are trying to find out the connection between Reed and McMillian and also establish if he was targeted because of his sexual orientation which is what most people think... (may have been robbery!)

According to sources,the reason for the split was when Bankuli traveled to Paris after the koko concert,to do some adlibs on Kanye West's new album

Kim Kardashian has given fans a sneak peek at her forthcoming US Cosmopolitan magazine cover for April 2013.

The glossy front page sees her sitting seductively wearing large white knicker shorts with a cropped black cardigan. 

In the issue she talks about Kanye, the baby they're expecting  and of-course marriage...

"I saw fast marriages like Khloe and Lamar's and that was what seemed to work. [Now] I say give it a good six months before you commit. Feelings change, even if it seems so lustful." she adds:

"Sometimes you’re just not ready. A person could have it all, and you’re not ready for it all. But this is where I probably always should have been…[marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don’t have this sense of urgency about it.
