Newly married Jimmy & Kemi Odukoya open up on how they met

Jimmy Odukoya is the first son of late Fountain of Life pastor, Bimbo Odukoya. He married Kemi Sade Banjoko this past Saturday in the UK...
"I went to the same secondary school with Kemi's cousin and she came for her cousin's introduction. I hadn't seen her cousin for a while so we agreed to hook up and catch up at Ooh la la in GRA Ikeja. I got out of my car and she got out of hers and I was like, 'who's that?' My friend said that's my cousin. This was in 2011. We started chatting and she said she has been single for four years and hasn't found what she's looking for. We exchanged numbers and started talking. She's very beautiful inside and outside. She's adventurous, daring and outgoing. Her willingness to learn and her love for God endeared me. The women I dated in the past, I tell them: 'Listen, I am a pastor. There are certain things you can't wear, certain places you can't go, certain things you can't say. It's never easy dating a pastor, especially where they are watching you to see how they can disqualify you. So when we talked about it and she said she is taking it seriously and putting all effort to make it work. I decided then to marry her. I proposed to her in March 2012. Kemi checks. If I have a list of she surpasses the list of women I have seen. She doesn't hold on to things. If she's wrong, she's quick to apologize. I love her heart for people. With her, you're not worried about infidelity, she's not that kind of a person. I'm really lucky!
What Kemi has to say about Jimmy Odukoya when you continue...

The election of a new Pope: Still waiting

The Catholic Church still does not have a Pope. The 115 cardinals who went into the Sistine chapel yesterday to elect a new Pope didn't unanimously agree on a new man to lead the church so they sent up black smoke from the chimney to signal their disagreement.

Black smoke was seen coming from the chimney again this morning indicating inconclusive ballot on the second day of deliberation. All the cardinals will remain locked inside Sistine Chapel until one candidate receives at least 77 votes.

Meanwhile thousands of faithful Catholics are waiting in the rain outside the Sistine Chapel to hear the good news - the election of a new Pope.

'How can a man I've only seen on TV buy me a car?" - Nuella Njubigbo

"When I read that a governor bought me my new car, I was annoyed by it but later found it funny. I've never met the said governor before. I've not even seen him from a distance. I've only seen him on TV and newspapers. So how can a man I've only seen on TV buy me a car? You know, people will always talk but the truth is, I don't know that man. And about my parents hearing about it, they know me. I don't lie to them so it wasn't an issue. They understand that lies like this come with the job. I love this job and this is the sacrifice I have to make. And the man in life also knows me very well, he didn't even for once ask me if the story of me dating a south south governor was true. That's my car. He knows how I got it. I didn't have to prove anything to him for a second." - actress Nuella Njubigbo

Listen to elders who were ministers when you still wore napkin - El-Rufai tells Jonathan

Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nasir El-Rufai on Tuesday said that President Goodluck Jonathan should listen to the advice from the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar and the Borno Elders Council on how to deal with the militant insurgence in Northern Nigeria.
Speaking as a guest on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily, Mr El-Rufai said rather than dismiss the call of the Sultan to declare amnesty for members of extremist group, Boko Haram, President Jonathan should consider the carrot and stick approach in quelling terrorism.
He said, “The government should have an open mind to exploring every solution. If the Sultan of Sokoto speaks, I think people should take what he says with a little bit more seriousness than be dismissive.
“When the Borno Elders, including people that were ministers when President Jonathan was wearing napkin, people like that should be listened to and whatever they suggest should be explored.”
