Don Jazzy shuts down PoP night club

Months after opening his night club, PoP, in Victoria Island, Mavin CEO and ace music producer Don Jazzy has shut it down. Heard he shut down the club down after realizing running a music label is different from running a night club.

PoP was shut down because it wasn't making money as expected. Heard some people will show up at the club just to take photos with him and leave. Also, some important people will buy drinks and not pay. Well, he has shut the club down to concentrate fully on his music label.

Ex-Super Eagles defender, Chidi Odiah, 30, has released a statement denying recent reports that he now drives taxis in the US to survive after being let go by his Russian club, Cska Moscow. See his statement below... 

My attention has being drawn to the slandering news going round the online media that I was spotted driving a Taxi somewhere in the United States of America.

I am taking this rebuttal path due to the hurt that story has caused my friends and family members. With due respect to taxi drivers who means of livelihood are through that means, I state, emphatically, that I am not a taxi driver neither am I in the United States of America . I am a professional footballer who loves my profession and yet to resign from playing football.

39 killed, 30 injured, Houses burnt as Christian & Muslim clash

Thirty-nine people died and 30 were injured in fierce fighting between Christian and Muslim mobs in Taraba state on Friday, prompting a round-the-clock curfew, police said.
Scores of houses were set ablaze and destroyed during the clashes in the town of Wukari which come amid a surge in religious violence in the west African nation.
“We have so far compiled a death toll of 39 people while 30 others were seriously injured,” state police spokesman Joseph Kwaji told AFP on Saturday. Local residents told AFP that the death toll could rise.

“Thirty-two houses have also been destroyed in the violence,” Kwaji said of the unrest which has prompted authorities to impose an indefinite all-round curfew in the predominantly Christian city.

The family of Emmett Till asked Lil Wayne for a public apology back in February after the remix for Future's Karate Chop leaked online containing the lyric, "I'mma beat the p***y up like Emmett Till"

Wednesday night on American Idol, Nicki Minaj was dismissed by Mariah Carey after Nicki tried to interrupt Mariah's critique of a contestant. Mariah cut Nicki off quick saying, 

"Again, back to the Billboard HOT 100 No. 1 song - which you just performed - which is difficult to get - not everybody has that - to their credit -  it's difficult to get."

Obviously clowning Nicki Minaj over her lack of No. 1 hits. Mariah Carey has 18 of them. More than any other artist and second only to The Beatles overall. Oh, but Nicki fired back.
