Asari Dokubo sued over war threat by Abuja based NGO

An Abuja based NGO called the Anti-Corruption Network is suing ex-militant leader, Asari Dokubo for treason over comments he made about going to war if President Jonathan is not re-elected in 2015. Below is a report from Vanguard

The Executive Secretary of Anti-Corruption Network and former member of the House of Representatives, Dino Melaye, revealed this to journalists at a press conference held at the organisation’s headquarter in Abuja.

Melaye said: ”This morning, my lawyers instituted a case against Asari-Dokubo, that Nigeria will be made ungovernable if President Jonathan isn’t re-elected in 2015.”

Also, the National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, has cautioned Dokubo to stop making these comments, saying it is wrong for anyone to make threats over election.

Private jets are used to smuggle cash, fugitives - FG

According to a Punch report, the Federal Government believe that private jets in Nigeria are being used not only to smuggle money out of the country, but also to smuggle wanted criminals out of the country. See the report below.

The Federal Government on Sunday said illegal consignments and cash in local and foreign currencies were being smuggled on daily basis in and out of the country aboard private jets.

It also said some persons that securities agencies had declared wanted were being airlifted out of the country aboard private and chartered jets.

As a result, it insisted that pilots flying such jets must declare the passenger manifest before being allowed to take off.

Nollywood actress Camilla Mberekpe explains how she was delivered by T.B Joshua

Though, it wasn't really her talking, an associate of the actress explained the situation on her behalf. On Sunday April 28th, the actress appeared on T.B Joshua's televised deliverance programme on Emmanuel TV, but contrary to earlier reports that she confessed to being a witch, her associate says she never did. She went for deliverance because she felt that an evil force was making life difficult for her. Her associate explains:

"Camilla never confessed to being a witch. There was an evil spirit that possessed her and it was the evil spirit that spoke through her. That does not make her a witch. You all should go spiritual and see all the things that go on around you. She took herself to church. Witches don't take themselves to church for deliverance. Witches don't operate that way. The evil spirit said, not Camilla said, so please let's understand this before we start calling her a witch.

Camilla returned to the church (bottom photo on the right) the following week to say she has been delivered 'from every bondage of Satan in her life' and her visit to the church had totally tranformed her life. That is very good!

Actress Uche Ogbodo says she can act nude

Girl stabs boy to death for trying to rape her

May 5, 2013 was Onyinyechi Orakwuelum’s 18th birthday.The day she became an adult and the day she allegedly stabbed to death 19-years-old Akinwale Ayobami, who she said wanted to rape her.
Onyinye, who is currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku, Ibadan, pending investigation, narrated her story to Tribune and she said:

I am from Nkwele Ogidi in Anambra. I finished from Saint Gabriel Commercial Secondary School, Mokola, Ibadan, in 2011.
The deceased (Ayobami) was my mate in secondary school, as well as my friend Funmbi.
My parents moved to our personal house at Ologuneru community in Ibadan, so I lost contact with my friends. One day, my mother came home and told me that she saw my friend, Funmbi, and that they had also moved to Ologuneru. I was happy and we reunited.

"Jim Iyke Unscripted not scripted" - Says Jim Iyke

Jim Iyke ex-fiancee, Keturah Hamilton recently released a press statement claiming the reality show was scripted but Jim says it's not true. The actor explains:

"I am sure you saw part of the clips. Somebody sped off and jumped inside the river. That was a friend of mine. I don't think anybody will accept a script in order to die. I don't ever think anybody could have scripted that. If it was scripted, we would make sure that the lightning, the angles at which we shot was right. The dark pictures and angles at which it was shot is an evidence that it was not scripted. As soon as I wake up and I am ready to go out, they clip something in my jacket to record every conversation that I made through out the day. There's nothing hidden."

Ailing actor Peter Bunor says Nollywood has abandoned him

The ailing actor who has been suffering from stroke for a while now told Vanguard in tears that he has been abandoned by his colleagues in Nollywood. Bruno, who has relocated to Asaba, said:

"Since this thing happened there has been no single actor that called me to ask about my condition. It is a shame on their part. Would they say they don’t know that I am sick?’

‘I had a stroke and that was the end of it. I was unconscious, and if you are unconscious you are dead. It was when I opened my eyes that I realized that I was in a church here in Delta State. I didn’t even know when they brought me down to this place. All I could remember is that I was on admission for a long time before they took me to a church where God healed me.’

Man who slit girlfriend's throat and had sex with her narrates

Most of you have read the story, but just to remind you. On Tuesday April 30th, a 25 year old bricklayer named Akinloye Anuoluwapo slit his ex-girlfriend's throat, a 21year old girl named Rafiyat Akinyemi, then had sex with her as she bled to death in her father's house at Ogijo in Ogun state.

The girl had dumped him and that was too much for him to take. He went to her house armed with a knife and attacked her. Akinloye (pictured above) explains what led to the killing... 

On April 29, I missed her call, and in annoyance, she sent me series of annoying text messages, warning me not to call her or come to her house. I had once sent a message to her, appealing that she should not abandon me because I was disowned by my parents because of her, saying that I would commit suicide if she did. In reference to that message, she said I could die for all she cared, saying that my exit would create more enjoyment for the living, including herself.

Man crushed to death by mast during heavy rain

A 52 year old man identified as Adeolu Adeleke was crushed to death at Marina Car Park, Lagos Island, on Friday May 10th during heavy rain when a communication mast fell from a 2-storey building and crushed him to death.

The roadside trader met his untimely death as he went to protect his wares from heavy rain and winds. He'd dashed across the street to fetch something to cover his wares but the mast fell on him as he made his way back to his shade. See more photos after the cut. *viewer discretion advised*

Revealing how he met Judith, Bolton Mazagwu said:

When I offered to drive her to her home, she told me she was staying with her uncle. I discovered that the said uncle was her boyfriend. My friend at Onitsha, Omoba, revealed these to me.

Nollywood is a hub of great talents, one of which is the beautiful wife and mother of one, Mercy Johnson. Unlike many actors who get to play several minor roles before they get their first big break, Mercy’s first attempt at acting as a maid in the movie “The Maid” shot her into the limelight. Since then she has featured in over 50 movies and has won several awards including the Best Actress at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award for her role in the movie “Dumebi The Dirty Girl”.
At the moment, Mercy is undoubtedly having the time of her life. She got married in August 2011 and in December 2012, gave birth to her daughter in the United States of America.  Even though its been almost two years since her wedding, Mercy still giggled and spoke about her husband with such fondness as a newlywed.
