Veteran highlife musician Fatai Rolling Dollar dies at 85

 

Such a sad news to report. Nigeria's oldest practicing musician, Pa Fatai Olayiwola Olagunju, popularly known as Fatai Rolling Dollar has passed on. He died this morning at Marritol Hospital,   Sam Sonibare Street in Surulere after a brief illness. One of his wives, Funmulayo Olagunju, confirmed his death. He was 85 year old.

He is survived by three wives, including a German and 16 children. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

Model claims Kanye cheated on Pregnant Kim, after telling her 'relationship was for publicity'

Explaining her decision to reveal the relationship, brunette Leyla said: 'This is going to destroy the Kardashian family. It’s bad. It’s really bad. It’s just embarrassing. But if I were Kim and about to have a baby, I would want to know.'

Collapsed building kills 9 month old baby in Lagos

A nine-month-old baby died while three others sustained injuries after a three-storey building collapsed on Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the building, located on 353 Agege Motor Road, Challenge Bus Stop, collapsed around 3pm on Tuesday. The baby’s parents were among the injured.

According to rescue officials, most of the occupants of the residential building were not at home when the incident occurred.The building was said to have been built as a conventional apartment but two stories were added to it which weakened its foundation.

The Ogun State Police Command, Sunday, said it has arrested one Dr. Babawale Joshua who owned Ajike Medical Centre at 11, Adeyemi Street, Saka, Sango Ota, for suspected ritual activities and disrespect to the corpse of a 13-month-old baby who died in his hospital, Saturday.

According the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the state, Mr Muyiwa Ogunjobi, the police discovered that the boy’s corpse was mutilated. He told Vanguard that  the eyes, tongue, two lips, two ears, private part, nails and the left hand and veins were cut off at the hospital.
