The 38th Annual Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant/Charity Ball will hold tomorrow Saturday July 6th at Intercontinental Hotel, in Victoria Island. The show promises to be entertaining, electrifying and awe-inspiring. There will be sensational musical performances, arts, creativity and so much more this year. The show would support a cause for charity "Education, A Salvation for Kids".

Beyonce & Jay Z splash £5000 on designer gifts for Kim & Kanye's baby

North West is already living like royalty courtesy of Jayz and Beyonce who gave a staggering £5,000 of presents for the tot.

According to the Sun Newspaper,  Among the gifts the pair gave to two-week-old North were personalised Christian Dior baby booties and a three-piece sterling silver Elsa Peretti Padova baby set with the tot's name on. A source said:

'Kanye is one of Jay-Z’s closest friends so he wanted to get the best gift. They’ve had a girl themselves, so they know the right type of present.'Any bad blood between the ladies has all been brushed under the carpet now Kim’s a mum – Beyoncé was even sharing weight-loss tips with her.''They also brought their baby girl Blue Ivy to come over and meet North. She’s old enough now to be really interested in babies.'

Kanye West's Yeezus album makes the history books

Kanye West's new album Yeezus made history this week but not in a good way...at least not in a way Kanye would have liked!

The album holds the crown for the fourth biggest drop in second week sales for a #1 debut album since Sound Scan started keeping track in 1991.

Kanye released the new album with no pre-sales, no singles and no videos. And even though it debuted at No.1 with 327,000 in sales, it quickly slipped to No.3 the following week, falling by 80%.

Ethiopian lawyers to sue BBA Housemate Betty, for having sex in public

Some lawyers in Ethiopia are gearing up to sue BBA The Chase Housemate, Betty Aberra, for having sex in public. Betty had sex with fellow Housemate, Bolt from Sierre Leone, just three days after entering the BBA House.

According to a local radio show in Ethiopia called Ethiopikalink, if Betty is convicted, she could face up to six years in prison as it is an offense to have sex in public in the country.
The lawsuit is not the only thing Betty is facing since leaving the BBA House, she's also facing nationwide condemnation from groups who have asked the media and companies to boycott her.

Islamic group in Nigeria wants separate camps for male and female corps members

The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has called on the management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to stop mixing males and females in the National Youth Service Scheme physical exercise at orientation camps as it violates Islamic tenets and offends the sensibilities of Muslims.
This JNI Secretary General, Dr. Khalid Abubakar, said this at the end of a peace and unity conference for Muslim scholars in Kaduna State.
Abubakar called on the NYSC to respect the decency and chastity of female corps members during physical exercises and other activities at the orientation camps, and provide alternative camps for female Muslim corps members. (Nigerian Telegraph)

Kumuyi’s son suspended over his bride's wedding dress, what do you think?

By now most of you must have heard about what's going on at the Deeper Christian Life Ministry but just in case you haven't heard/read any of it, let me summarize it.

The second son of the General-Superintendent of Deeper Life Pastor William Kumuyi got married on June 15th in Jamaica to a lady named Love Odih. A day later, photos from the wedding flooded the internet - and that was when trouble started.

The bride was accused of breaking the church's conservative dressing rules by wearing make-up, a fitted wedding dress, with see-through sleeves. (bride and groom pictured above. The photo on the right is the appropriate way to dress in the church).

Now, John and Love Kumuyi have been suspended by the leadership of the church for this despite the fact that the couple tendered an apology letter to the church.

The midfield maestro who was among the 1994 victorious Super Eagles' squad that won the Nations cup in Tunisia died on Sunday, June 30 at exact 4.05 am at the Yusjib industrial medicare hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State.
