Florence Otedola aka Cuppy is the UK based Celebrity DJ and daughter of Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola. She is big in London and also plays regularly in Dubai and Paris.

Plane carrying 307 people crash at San Francisco

Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 carrying 307 people (291 passengers and 16 crew members) and flying from Seoul, South Korea to the US crashed and burst into flames as it came to land at San Francisco International Airport yesterday morning Saturday July 6th.

Of the 307 passengers, only two died. The victims have been identified as Chinese school girls, 16 year old Ye Mengyuan and Wang Linjia. Their bodies were found on the runway after the tail of the aircraft was torn off . The two girls were part of a group of 29 students and five teachers who were on a class trip to the US. They were all seated near the back of the plane when it crashed during landing.

180 people suffered various injuries, five people, including two children have been listed in critical condition.

Of the 307 passengers, 41 of them were Chinese, 77 were South Korean, 61 were Americans and 1 was Japanese. More photos from the plane crash after the cut...

Nigerian church leaders react to John & Love Kumuyi's suspension

The son of the General-Superintendent of Deeper Life, Pastor William Kumuyi, was suspended after his wife wore a wedding dress the church termed 'inappropriate'. If you missed it, read the story here

Church leaders are now reacting to the suspension of John and Love Kumuyi, calling it hypocritical. The General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare said:

 “I personally did not see what they have done wrong. A man is entitled to his own authority in his own home.1st Peter Chapter 3. A wife should dress to please the husband and not the members of the church or public. It’s sheer wickedness to the couple, they should leave them to enjoy their honeymoon. They should not squeeze them to the modus operandi of a particular organization. I did not see anything wrong in the wedding. The bride was not naked or dressed inappropriately and  the groom didn’t. Esther the queen was beautifully dressed in the bible to gain the king’s attention. They should not make mountain out of a molehill. I was in the Deeper Life Bible Church for five years and nobody compelled me to dress the way I dressed. My wife was with me in the church though we weren’t married then. She wears earrings and dresses nicely. All this talk about this couple should stop.”

Nigerian Canadian girl produces track on Jay Z's new album

Jay Z picked a 16 year old Nigerian Canadian girl named Ebony Oshunrinde produced a track on his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.

Ebony, known also as Wondagurl, got the call from Jay Z after meeting one of his friends who passed her beat to the rap mogul. Ebony is credited as a producer in one of Jay Z's songs titled 'Crown' in the new album.

One Love actor, Tony Umole is dead

Tony Umole, a renowned actor, who was said to have been indisposed for sometime now, is dead. The news of his demise was made available to us yesterday night. His friends in the industry confirmed his death. A source also confirmed from a TV owner in Lagos, who is doing well with his sound in the city, and he was said to have confirmed the death of the actor.

Tony is popular for his role as "Daddy" in the popular weekly TV programme "One Love", he also featured in 2003 movie "Abuja Connection" alongside Eucharia Anumobi and late Enebeli Elebuwa. May his soul rest in peace.

My bad! That's a pic of Anita and Andre

Oh, My bad! The picture on Paul Okoye's BB display photo I posted yesterday is apparently that of his girlfriend Anita and their son Andre and not the other lady Elshamah and her son. (They look so much alike..:-)

But the best part about getting this info wrong is that Paul has, for the first time, acknowledged Elshamah and her son. He tweeted that he has never accepted the baby and NEVER will. That's kinda harsh considering no paternity test has been done so far. I found this out a few hours ago.

Anyway, no man in his right senses will deny his own child, so maybe he knows something we don't know, even though Elshamah swears she was a virgin when she met him at 17. The story continues...

Beyonce & Jay Z splash £5000 on designer gifts for Kim & Kanye's baby

North West is already living like royalty courtesy of Jayz and Beyonce who gave a staggering £5,000 of presents for the tot.

According to the Sun Newspaper,  Among the gifts the pair gave to two-week-old North were personalised Christian Dior baby booties and a three-piece sterling silver Elsa Peretti Padova baby set with the tot's name on. A source said:

'Kanye is one of Jay-Z’s closest friends so he wanted to get the best gift. They’ve had a girl themselves, so they know the right type of present.'Any bad blood between the ladies has all been brushed under the carpet now Kim’s a mum – Beyoncé was even sharing weight-loss tips with her.''They also brought their baby girl Blue Ivy to come over and meet North. She’s old enough now to be really interested in babies.'

Kanye West's Yeezus album makes the history books

Kanye West's new album Yeezus made history this week but not in a good way...at least not in a way Kanye would have liked!

The album holds the crown for the fourth biggest drop in second week sales for a #1 debut album since Sound Scan started keeping track in 1991.

Kanye released the new album with no pre-sales, no singles and no videos. And even though it debuted at No.1 with 327,000 in sales, it quickly slipped to No.3 the following week, falling by 80%.

Paul Okoye accepts baby with 19-year old beauty queen, Elshama

In May, we all heard that Paul Okoye, the other half of singing sensation P-Square, had welcomed a baby with 19 year old MBGN 2012 contestant, Elshama Igbanoi. If you missed it, read it HERE

Paul Okoye has never reacted to the story in the press...to either confirm or deny that he is indeed the little boy's father. The boy was born April 7th in the UK, four days before Paul and his girlfriend Anita welcomed their son, Andre, in Atlanta.
