Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor Re-Elected as CAN President

The National Assembly of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Wednesday in Abuja re-elected Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor as President of the association for another three years.

Oritsejafor was re-elected at the 9th session of the CAN National Assembly held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.The assembly also elected Mr Olasupo Ayokunle as the new Deputy National President to replace the Most Rev. Daniel Okoh.

Pastor Ayo was first elected into the position in May 2010.

Tell us about your photo shoot in New York?

Well it happened when I was in New York and it was for work. I am not going to talk much on it but it happened when I was in New York, I did a photo shoot for a private magazine company and that is it.

How did you handle the critics on this issue of your nude picture?

Rivers crisis: President Jonathan withdraws JTF soldiers, armored cars from Governor's lodge?

That is what Sahara Reporters is reporting. According to SR, about 30 soldiers guarding the Governor's lodge have been summarily withdrawn by the Brigade Commander in charge of the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Port Harcourt at the orders of President Goodluck Jonathan.

SaharaReporters also reports that the soldiers took with them two Armored Personnel Cars (APC) usually stationed at Government House.

A military source allegedly told SR that the removal of the soldiers was ordered from Abuja. He warned that things might get bloodier in the state capital with the JTF gone from Government House leaving the security of the governor and his aides in the hands of a few police officers and State Security Services agents.

Lamar Odom lashes out at paparazzi amid cheating rumours

Lamar Odom turned on paparazzi yesterday in Los Angeles amid reports he cheated on his wife Khloe Kardashian with a woman named Jennifer Richardson.

In the video posted online, Lamar is seen throwing items out a paparazzo's car and smashing his camera equipment on the ground. Lamar's outburst comes just as his alleged mistress is threatening to publish proof of their affair.

Three storey building collapses in Ebute Meta today

A three storey building has collapsed on Oloto Street in Ebute Metta area of Lagos, claiming at least two lives and a number of people are still trapped in the building rubble.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed that the collapse occurred at about 2am Thursday morning.

Two dead bodies have been recovered and about 10 more people feared to be trapped under the rubble.
NEMA says two children are part of the rescued persons early this morning.

Nigeria’s commercial city has been consistently recording a number of building collapse in recent months with lives lost.

According to a report by Star magazine, Khloe Kardashian has kicked Lamar Odom out of their home, after finding out about his year-long affair with another woman.

Lamar has reportedly been cheating on Khloe since at least January 2012, Star reveals in an exclusive report. They claim Lamar met gorgeous 29-year-old brunette Jennifer Richardson at the Stadium Club strip club in Washington, D.C., after playing a basketball game.

“Lamar and Jennifer ate dinner in an intimate booth together that night, then he took off her shoes and started rubbing her feet,” a friend of Jennifer’s tells the mag. “The chemistry between them was off the charts!”

Rivers Crisis: House Of Reps takes over functions of Rivers House Of Assembly

The House of Representatives, Wednesday, passed a motion to take over the legislative functions of the Rivers State House of Assembly following the crisis that took place on Tuesday, July 8.

In approving the motion, the House said it was empowered by section 11(4) of the 1999 Constitution to take such actions and consequently asked the Inspector General of Police to redeploy the Commissioner of Police from the state to avoid the current misunderstanding between him and the governor, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.
The resolution was taken following the adoption of a motion of urgent national importance moved by the Chairman of Rules and Business Committee, Hon. Albert Sam-Tsokwa, titled “Threat to democracy and inability of the House of Assembly of Rivers State to sit and transact legislative business.”
