Sexy dark skinned Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede, who left the scene in 2007 to study International Relations in Cyprus is back to the screen. Yvonne, who was one of the chicks in 2face Idibia's African Queen video, has been spotted on movie locations since her return to Nigeria.

IG of Police MD Abubakar set to remarry in September

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, Nigeria's Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar is getting ready to re-marry a year and a half after loosing his wife, Maryam Abubakar, to cancer. (Mrs Abubakar died in January 2012)

IG Abubakar will be engaging in a three-day wedding ritual to 35 year old Safiya (pictured above with him). Their wedding proper will take place on Saturday September 14th.

Sahara Reporters obtained a photo from a series of photos taken during a photo shoot in preparation for their grand wedding. Big congrats to them.

Young Shall Grow Motor boss escapes assassination

The CEO of The Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo, was attacked by suspected assassins on Tuesday night August 27th on 22 Road in Festac Town, Lagos, killing his driver and police escort. He narrowly escaped death.

The multimillionaire businessman was returning home from work on Tuesday night when an SUV double-crossed his vehicle in a lonely area, and some armed men opened fire on Chief Obianodo's car. His orderly who attempted to fire back was killed, his driver who was trying to escape was also killed while Chief Obianodo was shot in the arm.

The shooting attracted the attention of some policemen on patrol in the area who rushed down to the scene and engaged the gunmen in a shoot out, killing two of them.

Chief Obianodo was rushed to the hospital where he is responding to treatment. The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, who confirmed the incident said it is under investigation.

Senior lawyer and political activist, Femi Falana (SAN), yesterday sent a petition to the Inspector General of Police demanding a detailed investigation of the letter purportedly sent to the Taraba State House of Assembly by Governor Danbaba Suntai yesterday indicating he is ready to resume office.

Governor Suntai returned to Nigeria on Sunday after 10 months away receiving treatment and rehabilitation for serious brain injuries he received when an aircraft he was piloting crashed in October 2012.  Reports say he appeared bewildered and uncoordinated as he arrived, needing help and not speaking.

President Goodluck Jonathan fires Youth Minister, Inuwa Abdulkadir

The Minister of Youth Development, Inuwa Abdulkadir was fired yesterday Monday August 26th. The termination of the appointment of the lawyer and ex-Attorney - General and Commissioner of Justice in Sokoto state was announced in a statement released to the Media by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Anyim Pius Anyim in Abuja yesterday.

The reason for his sack was not made known but I hope the next Youth Minister appointed will be someone who will actively engage the youths of this country like the minister who handed over to Abdulkadir did.

Two Kenyan men have signed an agreement to "marry" the same woman.The woman had been having affairs with both men for more than four years and apparently refused to choose between them.

The men who love the woman too much to let her go have agreed to her decision to set a out a rosta for Sylvester Mwendwa(Above) and Elijah Kimani to stay in her house and states they will both help raise any children she bears.

Mother of teenager who hid in the tyre of Arik Plane speaks

Mrs Evelyn Oikhena, is the mother of 14-year-old Daniel Oikhena, who emerged from the wheel compartment of an Arik Air flight from Benin Airport to Lagos, last Saturday. She spoke to journalists yesterday in Benin. Her words;

“I was shocked when I came back Saturday morning, and they told me that Daniel has disappeared and when I asked my daughter she said she had a quarrel with him because the boy was watching movies late into the night.

J Martins denies dissing Wizkid

Last week, Wizkid told a fan 'that broke people always think they have an opinion' after the fan rudely corrected his English - a comment that angered quite a number of the pop star's fans.

Singer J Martins in a recent interview on a radio station reacted to Wizkid’s outburst, saying:

I'm not taking any side, don’t mean no beef, no disrespect, and no hate but let the truth be told. I don’t believe because you feel you have a few change you didn’t have a few years ago and which you cannot guarantee having in a few years to come then you wake up and look at those people who have cheered you up, loved you, supported your music, bought your CD’s, prayed for you, just because you can lay your hands on some phone and you call them ‘poor’.   

I'm not in and will never be in support of anyone who has such bad attitude. It needs to be corrected, we owe our fans the duty of being good examples that’s why they hold us in high esteem, that’s why you are a role model and if you know you cannot be a good role model you have no business in Music. You don’t know if it’s that person that might help you tomorrow, whoever does that should be checked.

Iyanya signs $350k endorsement deal with Zinox "Computers" Group

The Kukere crooner yesterday signed a three hundred and fifty thousand dollars one year endorsement deal with Zinox Computers. Zinox computers, which is Nigeria’s first certified branded computers, will upload all Iyanya's songs and videos to all their computers. Iyanya will also do a song for them and appear on Zinox billboards and TV commercials.
