Legendary New Zealand tattoo artist Inia Taylor yesterday shared images of Rihanna getting a permanent traditional Maori tattoo on her right hand. The Maori tattoo is one of the most painful kind of skin marking out there because instead of needle puncture, this one is performed with chisel, ink pigment and mallet...and rather than a smooth surface like modern tattoo would give you, this one leaves the skin with grooves.

Lagos State Government shuts down Lord’s Chosen Church Headquarters

The Headquarters of popular Lagos church Lord's Chosen and Charismatic Revival Church, founded by Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has been sealed off by the Lagos State Government for allegedly defacing and constituting environmental nuisance to its environment.

The church, located in Ijesha on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos, was shut down on Sunday Oct. 6th by officials of the Ministry of the Environment and prevented thousands of worshipers from having their Sunday service that morning.

The Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello, explained why the Church was shut down

“The Church does not have proper sanitary system and they discharge their wastes into the canal. Most of their members trade on the expressway and we don’t want that"he said

The commissioner also said the church had a habit of burning its refuse inside the church, an action that is against the environmental and sanitation law of the state. He said the church will be re-opened only after it builds new toilets, build a sewage septic tank for the treatment of waste water, remove all illegal attachments built on drainage channels, keep the environment clean and ensure that none of its members trade on the expressway.

Joe Odom was spotted with son, Lamar a few days ago buying snacks in Venice, California, their first public outing in months. The embattled NBA player was also spotted with his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian yesterday for the first time in months as they made their way to Kris Jenner's home to provide some family support following the announcement of her split from husband Bruce.

Khloe has hinted that she plans to fight for her marriage in a series of tweets she posted yesterday but TMZ reported that she's still planning to divorce Lamar but is scared that taking the step may cause him to maybe commit suicide.

FFK responds to Stella Oduah, calls her market woman, fish wife

Former minister of Aviation Femi Fani Kayode has responded to the current minister of Aviation Ms. Stella Oduah who yesterday described him as an ignorant individual, who “should hide his head in shame.” after he called for her resignation following Thursday's crash...

Mrs Stella Oduah said:

"I have huge sympathy for them, the ignorant people in particular. Because when you speak out of context, when you speak under the influence of whatever it is you are under, you speak incorrectly and you mislead innocent Nigerians and that is what he has done. And he really should hide his head in shame.”

Stella Oduah made some comments about me today (yesterday) which were uncalled for, malicious and petty. She reportedly said that I should ''bow my head in shame'', suggested that I was ''speaking out of context'' in my essay where I called for her resignation and that I spoke under some ''influence of something or other''. My advice and counsel to her is to grow up and stop being petty. She is meant to talk like someone who befits her office and not like a market woman, a fish wife or a creature from a Parisian bordello.

Kris and Bruce Jenner split after 22 years of marriage

According to E! News, the Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner has separated from her husband of 22 years, Bruce Jenner. They've been living apart for a while but officially announced their separation today. Eonline.com reports...

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the pair exclusively tell E! News. "But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

Kris and Bruce are parents to two children together, Kendall and Kylie, and each have four kids from previous marriages.

And oh, Kris has already started making money off her separation from Bruce by giving an exclusive cover story to Us Magazine. So Lamar's gone, Bruce's gone, Scott is a Kardashian so he ain't going nowhere...only remains Mr West.

According to a story by Encomium magazine, Bishop David Oyedepo, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Dr. Mike Adenuga are among the top 10 Nigerian billionaires who will pay hundreds of millions of naira annually as luxury tax due to the imposition of a whooping $4,000 luxury tax by Aviation Ministry on private jet owners and operators per departure.

Some of these super rich Nigerians make use of their jets 3/4 times in a week either within or outside Nigeria and for every trip, it's a cool $4, 000 tax.

Ventures Africa Mag's Richest People In Africa 2013 List

Ventures Africa magazine has released their list of the top 10 Richest People in Africa 2013.

The combined fortune of Africa’s 55 billionaires is $143.88 billion. The average net worth of the members of this exclusive club is $2.6 billion, while the median age of the richest people in Africa is 65 years. The oldest billionaires are Kenyan industrialist, Manu Chandaria, and Egyptian property tycoon, Mohammed Al-Fayed, both aged 84. The youngest billionaires are Mohammed Dewji of Tanzania and Igho Sanomi, a Nigerian oil trader. They are both 38 years old.

Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt lead the pack with the highest number of billionaires at 20, nine and eight respectively. Algeria, Angola, Zimbabwe and Swaziland only have one billionaire each. In all, there are 10 African countries represented on the list.

Three women made it into the rankings. The richest of them is Folorunsho Alakija, a Nigerian fashion designer and oil tycoon worth some $7.3 billion by our estimates.

FFK slams Aviation minister for saying plane crashes are acts of God

Our Aviation minister Mrs Stella Oduah thinks that plane mishaps are an act of God. While fielding questions from state house correspondents on the recent Lagos air crash, Mrs Oduah said;

“We do not pray for accidents  but they are inevitable. But we will continue to do everything to ensure that we do not have accidents. But an accident is an act of God".

21 year old acid victim Naomi Oni, who was disfigured for life when an unknown person wearing a niqab threw acid in her face as she walked home from work on Sunday December 30th 2012 in Lodge Avenue Dagenham, east London, (read all about it HERE) has had her eyebrows restored after it was burnt off in the horrific attack. The acid burned off the skin on her face and scalp and left her temporarily blinded. She lost her eyelids, eyebrows and some of her hair in the assault. Fortunately doctors have been able to rebuild her features, including taking skin from the back of her ear to make new eyelids for her and now new eyebrows. See more photos after the cut...

Comedian Julius Agwu and wife welcome baby boy

Popular comedian Julius Agwu and his wife, Ibiere, welcomed a baby boy today October 7th. Ibiere gave birth to the little bundle of joy in a hospital in the US. The new addition to the family has been named Zadok Chibuike Julius Agwu. Julius and Ibiere already have a 4 year old daughter, Zahra Agwu. Big congrats to them.

"Agagu family insensitive to continue with the burial' - Association of Undertakers says

Funeral managers in Lagos are not happy with late Agagu's family, Encomium magazine reports exclusively. The Association of Undertakers in Lagos are of the opinion that the Agagu family were insensitive to their plight by going ahead with the burial of the former governor when their own man, Mr Tunji Okusanya of MIC did not only lose his life but also his son and four of his staff in the plane crash on Thursday October 3rd. John Dumelo donates items to deprived school in Cameroon

Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo donated school supplies including pencils, chalks, erasers and exercise books to over 100 pupils of St. John Of God Catholic School in Cameroon, via his John Dumelo Foundation. The school, located in a town called Bonadikombo, around where the actor had been filming, also got an unspecified amount of money to help in running the school.

John Dumelo visited Cameroon right after his short trip to the US, and he was in the coastal town of Limbe where he shot a movie as well as part of his upcoming reality TV show. He promised to go back to help renovate the school building. See more photos after the cut...

9 year old boy boards flight to Vegas, alone and without ticket

A 9 year old boy did the unthinkable in the US last week; he went through airport security with other passengers, and sneaked on a flight to Las Vegas on his own without a plane ticket.

The Transportation Security Administration officials said they are still trying to figure out how he did it. CNN reports

Patrick Hogan, a spokesman for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, said the crew of Delta Flight 1651 "became suspicious of the child's circumstances" during the flight from Minneapolis to Las Vegas. Crew members got in touch with authorities in Las Vegas and turned the boy over to Child Protective Services, Hogan said in a statement.

 "Fortunately, the flight crew took appropriate actions to ensure the child's safety, so the story does have a good ending," he said. Delta said it takes the incident "very seriously" and is working with authorities.
