AY goes into movie production, shoots 1st film in Atlanta, USA

Comedian, AY Makun, is currently shooting his first Produced Film in the US. The movie titled 30 Days in Atlant. The Adventures of Akpos is Produced by AY and Directed by Hollywood Robert Peters.
The movie, a Romantic Comedy stars Hollywood A-Listers such as Lynn Whitfield, Vivica Fox, and Karlie Redd. Nollywood stars like Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Desmond Elliot, Ramesy Noah, Rachael Oniga, Omoni Oboli, Ada Ameh, and of course lead role act AY,  himself also starred in the movie.

Nigeria US-based Fashion Designer and Actor  Kesse Jabari also features in 30 Days in Atlanta, while Sexy Juliet Ibrahim and super -talented Majid Mitchel are the Gollywood stars in the Movie. 30 Days in Atlanta is planned to be shot in Locations in Atlanta, USA, and Lagos, Nigeria. Doctor Who missing episodes from 1960s found gathering dust in a cupboard in Nigeria

Nine long-lost episodes of Doctor Who, which have not been seen since the 1960s, have been recovered after they were tracked down gathering dust in a store room in Nigeria, Daily Mail UK reports:

The discovery of the episodes in Nigeria will cause much excitement for devotees of the long-running series, for which there are dozens of missing episodes dating back to its early years. The previously lost nine shows were among 11 traced to a television relay station and the find brings back to life an entire six-episode story, while another is almost complete.

Phillip Morris, the director of Television International Enterprises Archive, unearthed the programmes by looking up the records of overseas shipments of tapes made by the BBC

Singer, Dapo Oyebanji, aka D’banj, finally opened up on his love life in a rare meeting with journalists in Lagos on Wednesday.

The self-styled Kokomaster was clearly in his elements as he talked at length, amid occasional bouts of laughter, about his career and other issues that were important to him. One of the subjects was about his rumoured relationship with Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji.

Judging by the manner in which the actress’ name kept popping off his lips, it was obvious that D’banj had a very soft spot for her.

Sunny Okosuns’ family disowns ex-queen, Ethel, says she’s not their sister

Ethel Okosuns won the Miss Earth Nigeria pageant in 2005 and is currently the project director of Exquisite Face of Africa pageant. In an interview with Vanguard just last month, Ethel talked about growing up as Sunny Okosuns' daughter and said she still missed her dad...

But the Okosuns family in a statement exclusively made available to Vanguard and signed by the singer’s son, Sidney Ehimare Okosuns disowned Ethel. They wrote:

"We wish to state categorically that Ms. Ethel is not our sibling. She is not the daughter of our father. Our father had four children: Sidney Okosuns, Michael Okosuns, Adesuwa Okosuns and Ebony Okosuns.

This is not the first time Ms. Ethel has … used our late father’s image and likeness as “name dropping” to achieve whatever affluence she seeks. She needs to stop identifying herself as the daughter of the Ozziddi great musician.

So after weeks of rumors about Lamar Odom being hooked on crack cocaine, he recently tested negative for drugs in both blood and urine tests. So which Kardashian has been feeding the press news of his supposed drug addiction? This doesn't make sense at all. See the TMZ report below...

Our sources say on Tuesday Lamar underwent blood and urine tests for drugs, and he tested negative for drugs. This is consistent with what other sources have told us about his time with the Kardashians on Tuesday. We're told he was lucid and showed no signs of being under the influence of drugs.

 We're told Lamar has had private conversations with execs from several teams who have expressed interest in him, provided he could show he was clean ... and the purpose of the trip is to meet with them and possibly strike a deal.

Nine members of a family, 13 others killed in fresh attack in Plateau

A man and eight members of his family were attacked and killed in the early hours of this morning Thursday October 10th by men suspected to be cattle rustlers. The man identified as Tsok Gwom, who is a cattle rearer, lived in a community in the Bajin Kogi Forum District of Barkinladi LGA of Plateau State, was killed alongside his wife, his sister, one other woman, five children and the man's neighbour.

Eyewitnesses said armed men numbering over 30 stormed the area around 2.00am and massacred the family. The gunshots they fire during the attack alerted vigilante members in the community who launched a reprisal attack, killing about 12 of the attackers.

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations officer in Plateau, Felicia Anslem, said policemen have been deployed to the area.

Tragedy brought us together.... That's how I came to know Mrs. Nwaozor, affectionately known to me as "Mama." Back in November 2011, someone posted a tribute video, "Iwe", by Flavor, on Facebook. On that day I distinctly remember viewing the video on YouTube and sobbing for over an hour after watching this video that paid homage to two siblings who so suddenly lost their lives. I was simply paralyzed thinking about the magnitude of grief one particular mother would have to endure. You see, Mama was the mother who lost those two adult children on the same day, specifically, a son, the erstwhile entertainer, MC Loph, and a daughter, Chinwe.

7 year old leads police to smash Lagos kidnap syndicate

According to a report by Punch, a 7year old boy led police to the smash of a Lagos kidnap syndicate that specializes in the kidnap of little children, weeks after he was kidnapped and released by them...

A university graduate and two other suspects were on Wednesday paraded by the Lagos State Police Command, following their arrest, by a tip off from a seven-year-old victim.

The graduate of Economics of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Gbenga Sholaja; Olalekan Benjamin and Samson Shomorin, who specialise in kidnapping little boys, were arrested by men of the Igando Police Division and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, Lagos.

The victim (name withheld) was said to have been held hostage at Benjamin’s father’s house at Ikotun, Lagos.

The child, who was later released after ransom was paid by his parents, was said to have memorised the house address where he was kept. It was the child who led police officers to the same house where Benjamin was arrested.

Pop star Lola Rae loses dad, pays tribute to him

Fast rising music sensation Lola Rae lost her dad today and paid an emotional tribute to him on her instagram page. She wrote:

Daddy today you were taken away from us, but to a much better place. Only a few people knew how tough these three months of illness were for us all, but throughout it you comforted us & reassured us all that you will forever be with us. Finally the pain has left you and for that I remain grateful. You're now with your 'Don Dada upstairs' as you use to say. We will love you forever, I remain thankful to God for letting you see our achievements thus far & I still live to make you proud. Your most troublesome/ fav daughter, Rachel.

Friends hold candlelight procession for Deji Falae

Deji Falae was the Ondo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, and died in the Associated Airlines plane crash that occurred on Thursday October 3rd.

Friends held a candlelight procession for him this evening in Akure, Ondo state. The late politician would have turned 43 today. He was born 9th of October, 1970. May his soul rest in peace...Amen.

Lagos State Government shuts down Lord’s Chosen Church Headquarters

The Headquarters of popular Lagos church Lord's Chosen and Charismatic Revival Church, founded by Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has been sealed off by the Lagos State Government for allegedly defacing and constituting environmental nuisance to its environment.

The church, located in Ijesha on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos, was shut down on Sunday Oct. 6th by officials of the Ministry of the Environment and prevented thousands of worshipers from having their Sunday service that morning.

The Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello, explained why the Church was shut down

“The Church does not have proper sanitary system and they discharge their wastes into the canal. Most of their members trade on the expressway and we don’t want that"he said

The commissioner also said the church had a habit of burning its refuse inside the church, an action that is against the environmental and sanitation law of the state. He said the church will be re-opened only after it builds new toilets, build a sewage septic tank for the treatment of waste water, remove all illegal attachments built on drainage channels, keep the environment clean and ensure that none of its members trade on the expressway.

Lamar spotted with estranged wife & father for the first time in months

Joe Odom was spotted with son, Lamar a few days ago buying snacks in Venice, California, their first public outing in months. The embattled NBA player was also spotted with his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian yesterday for the first time in months as they made their way to Kris Jenner's home to provide some family support following the announcement of her split from husband Bruce.

Khloe has hinted that she plans to fight for her marriage in a series of tweets she posted yesterday but TMZ reported that she's still planning to divorce Lamar but is scared that taking the step may cause him to maybe commit suicide.
