Wizkid performs to an almost empty hall, he ain't worried about it

Is it because of ASUU strike? Abuja people didn't turn out for Wizkid's Abuja Live Invasion concert that held yesterday at the International Conference Centre as most of the front seats were empty. The show also featured his other EME label mates - Skales, Niyola, and Shaydee.

Regular ticket was N4k, V.I.P 10k, Table - N300/N500k and it was mostly the regular seats that were taken....others nearly empty. But like Wizkid tweeted a few hours ago, he ain't worried about it

Kanye West brings Jesus lookalike on stage during concert opening

Kanye West kicked off his 'Yeezus' tour in Seattle, on Saturday October 19th and before his performance of his College Dropout hit song, Jesus Walks, a man dressed as Jesus walked on stage and Kanye jokingly asked "White Jesus, is that you?… Oh, shit!,". Later, Kanye and his female back-up dancers bowed to the Jesus look-alike as he stood on the mountain top.

Kendrick Lamar was Kanye's opening act. He performed a nine-song set which included songs off his "good kid, m.a.a.d. city" album. Watch the video of Jesus Walks performance after the cut...

Jeta and Mbong Amata have separated after almost 10 years of marriage

The prolific movie director and his beautiful actress wife of five years Mbong Amata, 28, have separated. They have actually been separated for about a year now. And from what I gathered Jeta and Mbong didn't fight, they just decided to let each other go.

Jeta met Mbong when she was only 16 years old in Calabar in 2001 during a movie audition. He waited for her to mature and they started dating when she turned 18 two years later. In 2008, they welcomed a daughter, that same year, Jeta married Mbong. They later moved from their base in Abuja to Los Angeles so Jeta could work on his movie projects.

President Jonathan will probe Stella Oduah - Presidency

President Goodluck Jonathan will soon order relevant government agencies to investigate the purchase of two bulletproof vehicles for the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, Punch reports.

Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak, in an interview with Punch on Friday said President Jonathan would not shield the minister.

Gulak, however, said the President would not take a decision on the fate of the embattled minister based on media reports.

He said Jonathan’s decision would be based on verifiable facts, which could only be achieved when relevant government agencies investigate the matter.

The presidential aide said Jonathan would not hesitate to show anybody found guilty of corruption or impunity the way out of his government.

The singer and his wife actress Paula Patton have been together for 20 years..since she was eighteen and he was sixteen. Last night Robin performed at the VIP Room in Paris and after the gig, he watched with amusement as his wife dances with a partygoer.

Recently it was alleged by a groupie that these two have an open marriage. The groupie, 20 year old Lana Scolaro told Life & Style, that not only did she sleep with Robin, but his wife was just a few feet away. "I don’t think he cared what she thought. I was with him the whole night!” Lana said

Obafemi Martins and Balotelli's sister welcome baby boy

Footballer Obafemi Martins has welcomed his third child from his third baby mama. Abigail Barwuah, the older sister of Italian footballer Mario Balotelli gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday October 16th in Italy.

25 year old Abigail, who has been dating Obafemi since 2012, lost the first pregnancy we all reported last year. She was about four months pregnant when she was in Nigeria with Obafemi in December 2012 but lost the baby and got pregnant again almost immediately.

The never-before-married Obafemi has a son with an African chick he dated in Italy many years ago, he also has a 3 and a half year old son with a white chick he dated while playing in the UK and now a son with Abigail. Hope he is not going to be like Akon & our...erm, I no call name o. Lol. Congrats to them!

Unease in Okusanya family as unknown wives, children surface

 

As the family of late Mr. Tunji Okusanya Snr, Managing Director, MIC Funeral Services, battles to get over the tragedy that befell them by the ill-fated Associated Airlines plane crash that killed him and four of his workers, some unknown women have surfaced in the family claiming to have children for the deceased Okusanya Snr.

Leardership reliably gathered from members of the family that sought anonymity that the women and children were never introduced to other members of the family by the late Okusanya.

The family member said following the demise of the philanthropic director of the foremost undertaking company in the country, Magbamowo Industrial Company (M.I.C.), four other women apart from his legitimate wives have showed up as his wives

The album review by TW magazine is what got Tiwa Savage angry

Two days ago, Tiwa Savage lashed out at two editors of TW magazine over a review of her new album which was published in the magazine. Reading the review, I kinda understand why Tiwa was upset. The review was kinda insensitive considering Tiwa was their cover girl for the month.

'Once Upon A Time opens with a Disney inspired fairy tale account of Tiwa Savage’s relationship with her manager Tunji ‘TBillz’ Balogun. Wanted, potent and upbeat reggae track, works as a great opener. Her lower register mode of singing works on Ileke, – a roll call for females to shake their booty – but fails miserably on others like Ejim Afia and Baby Mo.

Tiwa Svaage is the first and foremost an RnB artiste and she doesn’t hide her natural comfort zone on quite a number of tracks as Olorun Mi, Middle Passage and Get Low. Her foray in pop music isn’t a total disaster, her Kele Kele and Love me x3 are exquisitely crafted pieces but the subtle Folarin fails to blow the mind. With 21 songs, one has to dig deep to find the real substance with too many fillers, too much autotune and too much Don Jazzy. However for a debut album, it’s a commendable effort’.

How Kim and Kanye concocted plan to post her sexy pic online

According to a report by Life & Style, Kim didn't just wake up, put on a bikini, take a pic and share it on instagram, it was well thought out and planned, and boyfriend, Kanye West was in on the act.

Sources told Life & Style magazine, that Kim had been looking for the right time to show off her post baby bikini body and took many pics of herself in her racy white one-piece.

"After weeks of working hard on her figure, she wanted to make sure that her perfect angles were captured, and in the very best possible light. She took so many pictures and deleted them before she and Kanye decided on the one she posted,' an insider tells the publication. 'He had the ultimate say about Kim putting up the picture and decided which one he liked best.'

"The whole stunt looked as if Kim had just merely decided to post a snap from a professional photo shoot. Kanye even feigned genuine surprise, retweeting the snap and tweeting, 'Heading home now'.

Two Nigerian students back home after over a year in hiding in Canada

Victoria Ordu and Favour Amadi (pictured above), have been in hiding for more than a year and took refuge in four different city churches hoping that the Canadian authorities will forgive them...but that didn't happen. The authorities refused to budge and the girls had no choice but to return to Nigeria. They left Saskatchewan yesterday Friday Oct 18th. They were scheduled to get on a plane to Nigeria last night, so they should be here by now..

According to the BBC, the University of Regina President, Vianne Timmons, was at the airport to say good-bye to the ladies. Timmons said the girls left voluntarily in the hope that doing so would allow them to return to Canada later. The University is vowing to help the students come back.

3 of Yinka Ayefele's band boys disappear in the US

Gospel music singer, Yinka Ayefele left Nigeria on September 2nd with a 14-man band for a six-week musical tour of the US, which took them to New York, Washington, Houston, Atlanta, Baltimore, Maryland and Dallas. He returned to Nigeria this week with three band members missing. The three missing men according to a petition filed by Ayefele are:

1. The lead vocalist of Ayefele’s Merry-Makers Band, Solomon Motimoke popularly known as ‘Yatty’ who dumped the band while they were in Washington DC on 11th October.
2. Ojoyido Adegbenga Ezekiel (Keyboardist), who disappeared at the band’s hotel at Howard Johnson Inn on Rockaway Boulevard, New York on Tuesday, 15th October
3. Olusola Kayode Isaac (vocalist), who disappeared at the La-Guardiala Airport, New York on Monday, 14th October on his way from Houston.

Yinke Ayefele has written to the US Homeland Security, asking them to track and deport these men.

BBA winner Dillish and Maria hosted by Gov Oshiomhole in Benin

BBA winner Dillish Matthews and her Namibian best friend who also contested in BBA Maria Nepembe (pictured above) are currently in Nigeria. They came in quietly into the country a few days ago and went straight to Benin were they were hosted by Governor Adams Oshiomhole. You will recall that while in the BBA house, Dillish used to call on Gov Oshiomhole and other Nigerian rich men like Dangote to bless her with money and change her life. Well, God changed her life by making her the winner of the 2013 Big Brother Africa competition.

BBA contestants Elikem and Selly are also in town. Dillish and Maria are currently in Abuja for another Selly's birthday party which will hold today October 19th at Sofa Lounge.

Aviation Minister's car purchase whistleblower being haunted by NCAA

NCAA has begun a manhunt for the whistle-blower that broke the story of the two BMW armoured cars bought for Aviation Minister, Ms. Stella Oduah.
The cars, valued at N225m, were purchased for the minister by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

The DG of NCAA, Capt. Fola Akinkuotu, said at a press conference which held yesterday Friday October 18th at the ministries HQ in Abuja, that the Federal Government was concerned about how the information got leaked to the public, saying that whoever leaked it committed a criminal offence.

“I am not saying that this particular information should not be put in the public domain, but how it was obtained is the concern. If somebody breaks into an office and makes copies of official documents, then the break-in has become criminal. So we are in the process of trying to find the source of this leakage and I am very concerned about it because this information may look trivial but there are other information that we have that are confidential and it is only fair for us to respect the confidentiality of information. I am not saying that they broke into our office, but they obtained the information illegally.”

NCAA is not even ashamed to do a press conference and say they are looking for the whistle blower who broke the story of the two BMW armoured cars bought for Aviation Minister. Instead of looking for the whistle-blower, shouldn't they be prosecuting someone or some people for fraud and extortion?
