The accusations were stomach churning. The one young woman, who had been 14 or 15 when R. Kelly began a relationship with her, detailed in great length, in her affidavits, a sexual relationship that began at Kenwood Academy: He would go back in the early years of his success and go to Lina McLin's gospel choir class. She's a legend in Chicago, gospel royalty. He would go to her sophomore class and hook up with girls afterward and have sex with them. Sometimes buy them a pair of sneakers. Sometimes just letting them hang out in his presence in the recording studio. She detailed the sexual relationship that she was scarred by. It lasted about one and a half to two years, and then he dumped her and she slit her wrists, tried to kill herself. Other girls were involved. She recruited other girls. He picked up other girls and made them all have sex together. A level of specificity that was pretty disgusting.

ASUU finally calls off strike

After more than five months, the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU) has officially called off its strike action starting from today December17th. They announced their decision at a press conference today

The strike was called off after a meeting in Minna, Niger State yesterday, days after ASUU signed a new agreement with the Federal Government. They have ordered lecturers to resume immediately. Congrats, students!

Senator Ahmed Yerima divorces 17 year old Egyptian wife, marries another 15 year old

Three years after marrying a 14 year old Egyptian girl named Marian, which was widely protested in Nigeria, former Zamfara state governor and serving senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Sen. Ahmed Yerima, has reportedly divorced her to marry a new wife, City People reports. According to the magazine, Yerima and four men, said to be members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly were in Egypt a few weeks ago for the wedding fathia of a new bride said to be 15 years old.

Marian who is now 17 and a mother of one, is believed to be the daughter of the former governor's driver whenever he visits Egypt. The reason he divorced her is to enable him take a new wife as he's not allowed more than four wives. The new wife is also Egyptian.

The Senator is alleged to have married and divorced a few women in the last few years but has never changed his first three wives, only the fourth ones.

Sen. Ahmed Yerima this year was strongly against the deletion of the section of the 1999 constitution which pegged the official marriage age in Nigeria as 18 years, saying it was anti-Islam.

Google adds Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa to its Google Translate

Google search engine has added the 3 major Nigerian languages, Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba to its Google Translate. Google Translate is a free automatic language translation service by Google. It works without the intervention of human translators, using state-of-the-art technology instead. Other African languages also included are South African Zulu and Somali Language. Google translate already has 71 languages on its platform.

'I have him all to myself now' - Lamar Odom's daughter blasts Khloe

Lamar Odom's 15 year old daughter Destiny and Khloe Kardashian were once 'besties' but after Khloe filed for divorce, Destiny has taken sides with her father and calling Khloe out online.

Destiny Odom spoke out publicly over the weekend saying that she hopes her father never gets back with Khloe

“No one thought they were going to last, so honestly, who cares. I don’t want it to happen anyways. I have him all to myself now!” she wrote on her ask.fm page when a fan asked about the divorce.

And When asked if she would still be cool with Khloe after the divorce, Destiny simply responded “hahahahaahaahaa.”

Dino Melaye is happy to be rid of his wife of 10 years and mother of his 3 children

The wife of the former Kogi State House of Reps member, Tokunbo Melaye filed for divorce a few weeks back citing emotional/physical abuse, and cheating. There are also reports that he threatened his wife with a gun.

He took to Twitter yesterday to express his 'profound happiness' over the end of his 10 year marriage.

You will recall that actress Bisi Ibidapo-Obe said the daughter she had last year is a product of a short lived affair with Dino Melaye who was married at the time...

Veteran Nollywood actor Olumide Bakare is down with a heart disease. The 60 year old actor has been absent from the movie scene for quite a while now because his condition has become critical according to family sources. He even had to relocate to his home town of Ibadan in Oyo State a few weeks ago to continue his treatment. Sad news.

Some of his colleagues are not even aware of his current health situation.

A day after the anti-apartheid revolutionary was buried, South Africa unveiled a giant 30-foot bronze statue of the former president. The unity statue was unveiled yesterday December 16th on the lawns of the Union Buildings, which is the seat of government in Pretoria.

Public Statement By Human Rights Commmission On Clara Chime's case

The chairman, Governing Council, National Human Rights Commission of Nigeria, Chidi Odinkalu has released a public statement on Enugu First Lady Clara Chime's case. Statement below..

I have been inundated by inquiries about the on going processes of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in relation to a recent complaint initiated by Mrs. Clara Chime. As the complainant in this case is the spouse of a senior political office holder, this complaint has naturally elicited somewhat fevered public interest.

In connection with this matter and in the past 72 Hours, the Commission deployed a high level investigation team to Enugu. Professor Bem Angwe, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, led the team. Upon returning from Enugu, the Executive Secretary, reflecting the public interest in this case, exercised judgement in authorizing and issuing on 8 November 2013 a public statement on the visit to Enugu.
