The police in Lagos State, yesterday, said they have arrested an 18-year-old boy, Ikechukwu Friday, who allegedly killed a 12-year-old girl for money ritual.
According to him, a pastor he asked for money instructed him to kill a young girl and obtain her faeces.The suspect, who is currently being interrogated at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, was paraded before newsmen.
He said the pastor promised him N100,000 if he was able to accomplish the task.
According to him, “I attend a popular church around Ketu Street, Aguda but I live with my parents in Badagry. I just finished secondary school and I have been very broke so I approached the pastor for money but he told me that I should strangulate a little girl.

Stella Oduah erases education references online after SR report

Aviation Minister Stella Oduah and her associates have spent the last several hours scrambling to clean up the minister’s biographies online after SR's report hit the net.

According to the report by Sahara Reporters, Aviation Minister Stella Odua's Master's degree which she claimed to have obtained from St. Paul’s College Lawrenceville, Virginia, US and presented to the Senate in 2011 as a ministerial nominee, is fake, because the school does not offer graduate programs.

Sahara Reporters learned from the President of the college that it has never in its 125-year history had a graduate school or graduate program. The Provost Vice President of Academic Affairs, and the Vice President of Institutional Development said “We don’t offer any graduate programs here.”

Premium Times went digging and it looks like the allegation is true because by 4pm yesterday, her profile page on Facebook was edited and all traces of St. Paul’s College was removed from the account. It was also removed from her Wikipedia page and her biography on the Ministry of Aviation website. See screen grabs after the cut...

Rochas Okorocha's first daughter welcomes twins

The governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has become a grandfather for the first time after his first daughter, Uloma Okorocha Nwosu, welcomed twins in December 2013. Uloma married Uche Nwosu, a serving commissioner in her father's cabinet in January 2013. The twins with Uloma's siblings above.

Uloma Nwosu is the Director General of her fathers foundation, Rochas Okorocha Foundation while her husband is the Honorable Commissioner for Land Survey and Urban planning in Imo State.

Photo: Terrible car accident occur on Third Mainland Bridge

A horrible car accident occurred earlier today Tuesday January 7th on 3rd Mainland Bridge that left at least one person dead. The accident involved a Black Prado SUV (pictured above) that reportedly lost its tyres while on high speed. Three people were in the car at the time of the accident, with one of them reportedly dying on the spot. The accident caused heavy traffic on both lanes several hours ago.

Student who attempted suicide by drowning finally succeeds by hanging

Part-time student of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Timilehin Ayobami Ogundare tried to kill himself on Sat January 4th by jumping into River Ogun but was stopped and saved by some security guards who handed him over to men of the vigilante service. Timi was later released. The next day, he succeeded in killing himself by hanging himself in his room with his belt.

PM News reports that Timi, who worked as a computer operator in Ibadan, was found dead in his room at Ilupeju area, Baasala, Asero, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Sunday January 5th. A family source disclosed that he'd tried to kill himself last year but was stopped by some people.

“The whole issue is still like a drama because I don’t know what could have made him decide to take his life. We have been looking for him since January 1. Later, we heard that he went to Lagos. He boarded a train from Lagos back to Abeokuta on Saturday and came down at Lafenwa. He trekked from the station through Enu Gada area to Ajitaadun down to Arakanga area with the aim of jumping into the river.

 “He was arrested by the security men in the area when they saw him wandering with only his boxer pant on. They handed him over to the Vigilante men at Oke Ilewo for further investigation. We went there to collect him and we were told to come back with him yesterday. On getting to his room, we found out that he had hanged himself. He left a short note, apologizing that he disappointed us,” the source narrated in tears.

Bomb Explosion Rocks Rivers State High Court

A High Court in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State was bombed yesterday morning Monday January 6th, according to reports from the state.

The bombing of the court where Justice Charles N. Wali usually holds court, reportedly occurred on Monday morning a few hours before a politically charged suit against Hon Evans Bipi, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and leader of a group of 6 lawmakers, who has been unlawfully parading himself as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Justice Wali had about a month ago ordered Bipi to stop parading himself as Speaker of the House as the tussle over control of the state government between loyalists of the Presidency and the Rivers Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, lingers with an end in sight. No casualties have been reported over the bombing as at the time of filing this report.

Acid victim Naomi Oni's alleged attacker finally caught. It was her friend!

21 year old acid victim Naomi Oni was disfigured for life after an unknown person wearing a Niqāb threw acid in her face as she walked home from work on Sunday December 30th 2012 in Lodge Avenue Dagenham, east London, (If you missed it, read about it HERE)

Naomi only described her attacker as a woman wearing an Islamic veil. Over a year later, police has been able to identify the person behind the veil. It was her jealous 21 year old friend, Mary Konye.

According to new reports released by police and tendered in court, Mary, a student at Hertfordshire university, disguised herself in a Niqāb, which showed only her eyes and closely followed Naomi home and allegedly poured the acid on her when they got to a deserted area. She fled the scene immediately after.

Naomi suffered horrific burns on her face and chest and was left scarred for life.

Scott Disick's dad dies two months after his mum passed away

Kourtney Kardashian's longtime partner Scott Disick has lost his dad just two months after losing his mum, Bonnie Disick, who passed away suddenly in early November 2013 at age 63.

His dad, Jeffrey Disick, a real estate developer, died on Friday January 3rd according to a report by E! News. Scott is said to be so devastated and beside himself with grief.

Imagine losing both parents within two months, especially when you're an only child like Scott is.

Rapper Young QC kills his mum for life insurance money to floss

Chicago actor, rapper and internet sensation Young QC has been arrested and charged by Chicago police for orchestrating the murder of his own mother in late 2011. The police say Young QC wanted fame and money so much that he paid thugs to kill his mum, who was a successful business owner in Chicago, (She owned a hair salon called Nappy Hairs Salon) so he could cash out on 2 life insurance money and her money in the bank.

The young rapper known for showing off money, cars, and new clothes on his instagram and Twitter pages and regularly posting videos of him flossing (talking about how rich he was, throwing away money, ripping and burying money) hired two people to stage a break in, where they stabbed and shot the woman in the head. He was caught this past December, 15 months after the crime. He even had her face tattooed on his neck. Beyond belief. He's obviously mentally disturbed.

OJB's wife explains why she donated her kidney to him

OJB's wife of 20 years, Mabel Okungbowa, donated her kidney to the prolific music producer a few months ago. In an interview with Punch today, Mama J as she's fondly called, explains why she did it.

She tells Punch

"I did not even think twice about it, I had it and I gave it to him. He is my husband, the father of our children and I love him. This is somebody I have been with all my life. I did not tell anybody before I decided to, not even my parents because I had foreseen their reaction. There was no reason to inform them.  When I married him, I told God I wanted the both of us to grow old together and live to see many generations. I am sure God knew this situation before he brought us together because not only am I a match for him, we are the same blood group and we are both stubborn.
