Mixed race baby business booming in Ghana - Report

According to reports, mixed race baby business is booming in the beautiful city of Accra in Ghana. With $3,000, you can have a mixed race baby without having sex with a person of a different race.

In Ghana, they are regarded as hotcakes. Their complexion put them on a fairly higher pedestal, as they are the ones every guy or lady craves to date - the half-caste!

But ever thought that a time will come for half-caste babies to be bred in Ghana? Well, thanks to modern science, one can have a half-caste or mixed-race baby without necessarily having to marry or have sexual intercourse with a person of different race.

Following in the steps of artificial insemination, a novel venture to create a new society –‘Half-caste World’- on the African continent is bourgeoning in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

Nigeria's former Minister of State for Interior,Humphrey Abah and his wife of 23 years, Mrs Mary Abah welcomed a baby recently 23 years after the got married.

49 year old Mary, who is a lawyer and banker, shared her experience with Punch on the challenges of being married for so long without a child and the support she got from her husband.

"When they told me I was pregnant, I screamed and cried in the hospital and everyone present rose up and gave thanks to the Lord. Since then, the story has been one testimony after another. But that was not all, when I was to put to bed, I was told there might be complications as a result of all the operations I had done. They said that might make it a very difficult and dangerous birth. Yet, the Lord saw me through. It feels great and I thank the Lord for wiping away my tears and making me a mother at last. It is a dream I have had since I married at the age of 27. Now, I am more than 49 years old, it has taken a long time but the Lord has done it for me. I have shed a lot of tears. Our story is like that of Abraham and Sarah. I am already in menopause but I told God that if He did it for Sarah and gave her womb the strength to conceive, then He would give my womb the same strength. Even when doctors in London told me in 2011 that nothing could be done, I knew that it is only Him (the Lord) that could help me. I focussed on the Lord and He did it for me." Unbelievable! Miracles do happen.

Dana Airline resumes flight operations today

According to a reports, Dana Airline has successfully passed the operational audit exercise by the NCAA and would start operations as from today Saturday January 25th.

 A statement from the airline said following the successful outcome of the operational audit of Dana Air by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the airline is set to recommence full commercial flight operations today.

Announcing the resumption of flight operations in Lagos, the Chief Operating Officer & Accountable Manager, Mr. Yvan Drewinsky, said the lifting of the suspension order is a testament that Dana Air
adheres strictly to prescribed safety standards as dictated by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (NCARs) and the International Civil  Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards.

SSS finally secures warrant of arrest for El-Rufai

The State Security Service, SSS, has finally secured a warrant of arrest for the Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nasir El-Rufai, and has now launched a manhunt for him, the spokesperson for the agency has said.

This is even as armed operatives of the Service again stormed a second house in Abuja believed to belong to the former minister in their desperate bid to arrest him.

They had earlier in the afternoon invaded his first house in the Maitama District of the nation’s capital, but could not find him as he had reportedly gone to pick his children from school. They were said to have tried to force their way in to arrest the former minister.

Armed SSS operatives storm Nasir El Rufai's home in Abuja

Court orders Indian woman to be gang raped for dating a man from another village

A Kangaroo court in a village in India ordered a 20year old woman (pictured above) to be gang-raped by 13 men for having a relationship with a man from another village, Times of India reports.

The woman was locked in a shed and raped overnight by 13 men, 10 of which had been 'judges' in the kangaroo court which sentenced her in a village near Suri in west Bengal state, police said.

The woman is currently fighting for her life in hospital while all 13 men have since been arrested for rape. Among them is the village headman.

Hong Kong billionaire doubles reward for any man who can make his lesbian daughter straight

Hong Kong billionaire Cecil Chao, has offered a whooping $130million to any man who can sweep his lesbian daughter, Gigi Chao (right) off her feet, marry her and give him grandchildren. Gigi ran away with her female lover sometime last year in France.

Nissan set to role out first made in Nigeria cars in April

Carlos Ghosn, the Chief Executive Officer of Nissan Motors, yesterday January 23rd announced the production of Nigerian-made 4X4 Nissan motors as from April this year.

Ghosn made this revelation while speaking at an interactive session with President Jonathan  at the ongoing World Economic Forum holding at Davos, Switzerland.

He said the cars would be produced at the Old Volkswagen assembly plant situated in Lagos and that a total of two to three million cars is expected to be produced from the plant annually.

"We are interested in producing popular cars, totally adapted to the needs of Nigerians" Gbosn said while speaking with President Jonathan.

He said one of the goals of producing in Nigeria is to help reduce unemployment rate in the country.

LASU chaos update: University shut down indefinitely

 Lagos State University ((LASU) has been shut down indefinitely following what the school termed 'violent protest by students'.

The school management shared the bulletin above announcing the indefinite closure, and asked all students to vacate the school premises until further notice. Exams have also been put off until further notice.

Trouble started at the University yesterday after the VC Prof. John Obafunwa refused to re-open the registration portal for over 1200 students left to register for examinations. (See the story here)

Mary Konye found guilty of acid attack on friend Naomi Oni

Mary Konye, the 21 year old jealous friend accused of attacking Naomi Oni with acid on Dec. 30th 2012 while disguised in a Muslim veil has been found guilty of the crime.

The jury heard how a day after attacking her friend with acid that disfigured her for life, Mary Konye pretended to give her a shoulder to cry on, sending Naomi a text that read "OMG, I can't believe it."

The pair, who had been friends since secondary school, fell out in April 2011 after Naomi allegedly accused Konye of texting her boyfriend and called her an "ugly monster".

Konye later claimed in court that Naomi set up the attack and asked her (Mary) to 'play the stalker' and throw the acid on her face, which was all part of an elaborate plan to be rich and famous. But the jury of eight men and four women didn't buy her story and found her guilty.

Mary Konye will be sentenced March 7th.

The brave eight year-old, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, suffers from a severe skin condition called epidermolysis bullosa (EB).It is an excruciatingly painful condition which causes blistering and leads to open wounds.
His condition is incurable and causes his skin and internal tissue to blister at the slightest knock or rub, leaving him with painful open wounds.The agony is so severe the youngster even had to take morphine to control the pain and it takes him three hours to have a bath. Justin Bieber arrested in Miami for DUI, drag racing and resisting arrest

19 year old teen sensation Justin Bieber was this morning arrested for driving under the influence, drag racing in Miami beach and resisting arrest, TMZ reports.

"Law enforcement tells us ... Bieber was busted in Miami Beach and it didn't end with DUI ... he was also busted for resisting arrest without violence, drag racing and driving on an expired license.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... they believe Justin was under the influence of both drugs and alcohol.

We're told the resisting arrest charge stems from Bieber refusing to take his hands out of his pockets when ordered to do so by cops.

Bieber is now in custody and is at the police department where he is being tested -- presumably to more precisely measure his blood alcohol level. Our law enforcement sources say Justin was given a field sobriety test at the scene ... and failed. His next stop will be jail, where he will be booked and processed and bail will be set.
