Film maker, writer and CEO of Royal Arts Academy, Emem Isong is now a married woman. The mother of one secretly wed her Cameroonian lover on Friday Oct. 3rd. The two had a secret court wedding and not a single member of her family knew about the wedding. The guy, from Kumba town in Cameroon, now works with Emem on some projects she's handling.

Lagos State to begin probe of Synagogue building collapse on Oct. 13th

The Lagos State Government announced on Friday Oct. 3rd that the coroner it inaugurated to probe the circumstances surrounding the 6-storey Synagogue building which collapsed on September 12th and claimed more than 115 lives will commence sitting on October 13th.

According to Punch, the Lagos State Ministry of Justice said in a statement that the coroner’s hearing will take place at the Coroner Court on the premises of the Ikeja Lagos State High Court.

Man allegedly rapes and impregnates 16 year old daughter in Oyo state

A 42 year old man who allegedly impregnated his 16 year old daughter in Oyo state has been arrested by the state police command. According to Sunday Sun, the JSS 2 student was repeatedly raped by her own father after she'd left her mum and gone to live with him. Oyo State Com­missioner of Police, Kola Sodipo said on the night she was first raped, the father had asked the victim to undress, but when she refused and attempted to escape, he threatened her with a cut­lass and then raped her.

The 16 year old gave birth to her father's child on September 16th.

Pastor John Kayode of the Chris Apostolic Church, Otumara, Warri who lost his wife, Grace and four children, Egburoghene Enoch( 13), Efemena Ogheneruona (10), Oghenetejiri Tekwe (7) and Oghenemaro Ogheneyucime, in a fire disaster on Sept. 25th has reacted to the unfortunate incident.

While ministering to his congregation on Sunday September 28th, four days after the unfortunate incident, Pastor Kayode said the whole incident was the will of God and that his wife and children are now with the Lord.

ISIS beheads second Briton, threatens to execute US war veteran next

ISIS has beheaded British aid worker Alan Henning (left and inset). The militants posted a video of the horrific beheading online last night. In the video, the executioner who is described as Jihadi John because of his English accent said Alan's blood is on the hands of the British parliament.

Before he was beheaded, Alan also blamed his death on his government. He told the camera

"I am Alan Henning. Because of our Parliament's decision to attack the Islamic state I as a member of the British public will now pay the price for that decision.'

He was beheaded shortly after that. ISIS then brought out Iraq war veteran and U.S. citizen Peter Edward Kassig (right) and threatened to kill him next.

How Taiwo Oshadipe reportedly died

According to what her twin sister reportedly told a journalist, Taiwo Oshadipe died in the early hours of today in her sleep. Her sister said Taiwo had fallen ill about three weeks ago and had been treated at a Lagos hospital. She was getting better and seemed fine when she went to sleep last night only for her not to wake up.

A new video is reported to have been released to AP by Boko Haram men showing the beheading of a man said to be a military pilot who co-piloted the missing Naval air force jet.
The video also shows burnt out plane parts with Nigerian military markings. Two pilots and an Alpha jet have been missing since Sept. 11. Below is the report from AP...

A new video allegedly shows Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau disputing claims of his death, and the beheading of a man who identifies himself as the pilot of a missing Nigerian Air Force jet. It shows burnt out plane parts with Nigerian military markings, the first indication that Nigeria's homegrown Islamic extremists have the capability to shoot down aircraft. The man beheaded with an axe identifies himself as a wing commander, saying he has not seen his second pilot since the jet was shot down.

Taiwo of singing duo Oshadipe Twins has passed away. She reportedly died in the early hours of this morning October 3rd in Lagos but the cause of death has not been made public.

Taiwo (one of them in the pic above) was married and just recently gave birth to her first child. She last updated her Facebook page on October 1st. This is so sad. May her soul rest in peace, Amen. Details later..

Liberia to prosecute national who took Ebola virus to US

Liberian authorities say they will prosecute Eric Duncan, the Liberian man diagnosed with Ebola in the US once he finishes his treatment in America and returns home.

"We wish him a speedy recovery; we await his arrival in Liberia to face prosecution" Binyah Kesselly, chairman of the board of directors of the Liberia Airport Authority said.

Duncan is accused of lying to health officials when he filled a questionnaire before leaving the country last month saying that none of his relatives were sick. But investigations by the health ministry showed he had an Ebola infected relative whom he had taken to a hospital on a wheelbarrow but was turned back from the hospital after being told they lacked bed space for his ill relative.

Duncan, said to be in a serious condition in a Dallas hospital, is the 1st case of Ebola to be diagnosed on US soil.

An American cameraman, Ashoka Mukpo (pictured above) working for US TV station, NBC News in Liberia, has tested positive for Ebola, making him the 5th American to have contracted the disease and the first journalist known to have contracted the virus in West Africa.

The 33-year-old cameraman and writer started showing symptoms of the disease on Wednesday Oct. 1st and immediately quarantined himself after suspecting he might have contracted the disease.
