Family who sent texts to phone buried with late grandma get replies 'from beyond grave'

Funny things you hear everyday. According to the story, 59 year old Lesley Emerson (pictured left) who died from bowel cancer in 2011, was buried with her favorite things, including her phone...and then her family began to receive messages from the phone which they had put in the coffin with her.

Shocked Sheri Emerson received a message from her beloved dead grandma from 'beyond the grave' - after a cruel prankster was given her old number. Lesley Emerson, 59, was buried with her mobile phone because she loved to send her loving family text messages.
Granddaughter Sheri and other close family members continued to 'contact' the dead grandma via SMS as a means of coping with their grief. But a shocked Sheri got a reply telling her: "I'm watching over you, and it's all going to get better. "Just push through."

In an interview with TheNETng this week, super star singer Wizkid said he charges N10million for musical collaborations with artistes he doesn't love but does it for free with the ones he loves
"I charge N10million for collaboration but I don’t charge the people I love. (but) I don't pay for collaborations because I am confident of myself" he said
And about his collaboration with singer Saeon, who is not happy that he failed to help promote her song despite paying him N1.5m, Wizkid didn't deny collecting the money but said he made the song a hit "I made ‘Boogie down’ song a hit, I did the song out of love from my heart.’

Teacher sentenced to life imprisonment for raping 11yr old pupil in Benin

35 year old Bright Asiruwa has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Benin city High Court for defiling an 11 year old primary school pupil in 2007 at Osazuwa Primary School in Ehor, Uhunmwode LGA of Edo state, while he was a teacher in the school.

PM News reports that the case against the convicted rapist started at an Abudu High Court in 2008 and then finally moved to the Benin City High court where the presiding judge, Justice G. O. Imadegbelo, after examining all evidence brought against him, pronounced him guilty of rape and then sentenced him to life imprisonment.

NFF sacks Stephen Keshi, pick Amodu Shuaibu as replacement

Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi and the team's coaching staff have been sacked despite beating Sudan 3-1 last night. The Nigerian Football Federation, announced his sack today October 16th after an emergency meeting which held last night in Abuja. Explaining the sack, the NFF said;
"In the interest of Nigeria football and the desire to ensure qualification for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals, the Committee decided to relieve them of their duties with immediate effect."
Keshi has been replaced with 56 year old Amodu Shuaibu who has coached the national team before. Shuaibu is an interim coach pending when they get a new coach.

Pic and name of second US Ebola patient revealed

Texas Presbyterian Hospital healthcare worker, Amber Vinson, has been revealed as the 2nd Ebola patient who flew from Cleveland to Dallas on Monday. She was one of those who attended to Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan at the US hospital. Her photo was just released but they have since said anyone who was in the plane or came into contact with her should not be worried because she had no fever, and wasn't vomiting. Woman found guilty of human trafficking after forcing 2 Nigerian women into prostitution by making them eat snakes

24 year old Lizzy Idahosa (pictured left) and her husband Jackson Omoruyi, 41 (pictured right), have been found guilty of trafficking in people after they forced two Nigerian women into prostitution by making them eat snakes in a black magic ceremony, UK Daily Mail reports.

Lizzy and Jackson, according to reports, made more than £70,000 out of the women, who were made see a witchdoctor for a sinister 'juju' ceremony.

Jackson was convicted of trafficking the women, inciting them to become prostitutes and transferring criminal property, while Lizzy was found guilty of money laundering. Both are now facing jail...

A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja this morning October 15th discharged and acquitted Fred Ajudua of a $1.69m fraud charge brought against him in 2003 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Ajudua is alleged to have duped two dutch businessmen of $1.69m which he and his alleged partner Charles Orie claimed will help facilitate government contracts worth $18m.

US tracking 132 air passengers who traveled on same flight with second Ebola patient

The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention is currently trying to track down 132 air passengers who flew from Cleveland to Dallas on Monday October 13th after they found out that the second Ebola patient from the Texas Presbyterian Hospital flew on the same flight that day. The unidentified healthcare worker didn't show any sign of having the virus until late yesterday. So everyone she's had close contact with has been exposed.

Those who resigned are: the Ministers of Information, Labaran Maku; Minister of Trade and Industry, Samuel Ortom; Minsiter of Health Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu, Minister of State for Defence Dairus Ishaku, Minsiter of Labor, Emeka Wogu, Minister of State for Defence, Mr Musiliu Obanikoro and Minister of State for Education, Mr Nyesom Wike.

All the ministers resigned to pursue their gubernatorial ambitions in their various states.
