Queen Beyonce earned a staggering $115million this year alone but when she she attended Topshop's New York City opening last night, she wore a $120 Topshop gown and nailed it. Beyonce didn't have to wear an outfit from the brand, but she decided to honour the UK owner, Sir Philip Green, who hosted the dinner alongside his wife. PDP secretariat in Gombe reportedly attacked by Boko Haram

According to an eyewitness who spoke with The Nation, Boko Haram men yesterday attacked the PDP Secretariat in Gombe where they opened fire and killed many people. This was after carrying out an attack on the Nafada Divisional Police headquarters in Nafada LGA earlier.

"In Nafada, they went straight to the police station and opened fire. From there, they went to the PDP Secretariat and the local government secretariat and opened fire on each of the places." the eye witness said

21 year old Nigerian man charged for murder in the UK

A 21 year old Nigerian man, Sodiq Adebayo, who resides in Ilford, has been charged to court in the UK for the murder of 22 year old Noor Hassan Barre (pictured above).

According to London24 news, Sodiq and another man, 20 year old Kevin Mao stabbed Noor in the chest during a fight in the early hours of Friday October 31st at the Middlesex University in Hendon UK. Noor was rushed to the Northwick Park hospital where he died.

Sodiq and Kevin are scheduled to appear before the Barkingside and Wimbledon Magistrates court respectively tomorrow.

Boko Haram: Gombe state government shuts down all schools

Following the recent attacks by Boko Haram members in the state, the Gombe state government has ordered the closure of all public and private schools in the state. Parents who took their children to school this morning were asked to take them back home following the directive by the state govt which was sent out to all school heads in a circular yesterday evening.

The Permanent Secretary, Gombe state Government House, Sani Jauro confirmed the closure to NAN but said it was just a "normal mid-term break for students".

Photo: 19yr old Nigerian wanted for attempted murder in the UK

19-year-old Obitana Onyia who lives in the UK has been declared wanted by UK's Metropolitan Police for attempted murder on an unidentified man on Sunday November 2nd. The man was stabbed repeatedly at Creek Road and is currently in critical condition in a hospital.

The Met police say Onyia is needed for questioning regarding the stabbing incident and asked the public not to approach him but call police at Greenwich when they come in contact with the teenager..

Senzo Meyiwa's father criticised for waving to the crowd at his funeral

Russia takes down Apple statue after CEO comes out as gay

A human-sized iPhone statue featuring a screen that displays a photo and video tribute to Apple Inc founder, Steve Jobs, which was erected in St Petersburg, Russia in 2013, was taken down by the people who put it up, a day after Apple CEO, Tim Cook, came out as gay.

The Russian group of companies that erected the monument released a statement yesterday saying it was taken down on Friday Oct. 31st, because they needed to abide by 'a law combating gay propaganda".
