Update on Pakistani primary school massacre, 126 now dead, siege ends

Pakistani military has ended today's early morning siege by Islamic terror group, the Taliban, on a military run school in Peshawar, a Northwestern city in Pakistan. 126 people, including 84 children have been confirmed dead. Petroleum Minister Dieziani Alison-Madueke appointed President of Gas Exporting countries forum

Nigeria's Minister of Petroleum resources, Dieziani Alison-Madueke has been appointed the President of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum GECF. Her appointment as president was announced today Dec. 16th at the 16th Ministerial meeting of the forum holding in the Qatari capital of Doha.

Only Last month, Nov 27th, she was made the President of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC.

Madueke was not present at the forum's meeting due to her negotiations with the striking members of NUPENG. She was ably represented by NNPC's Group Executive Director, Gas and Power, Dr David Ige and Nigeria's Ambassador to Qatar, Mr Shuaibu Adamu Ahmed.

Football star Thierry Henry retires from professional soccer

French soccer star Thierry Henry has announced his retirement from professional football after 20 years of playing for top clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal & France. He announced this on his Facebook page and said he will be returning to London to join Sky Sports as a football expert and ambassador.

“After 20 years in the game I have decided to retire from professional football. It has been an incredible journey and I would like to thank all the fans, team mates and individuals involved with AS Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal FC, FC Barcelona, the New York Red Bulls and of course the French national team that have made my time in the game so special. It is now time for a different career path and I am pleased to say that I will be returning to London and joining Sky Sports. I will hopefully share some of the insights, observations and experiences I have learnt over the years with you guys. I have had some amazing memories (mostly good!) and a wonderful experience. I hope you have enjoyed watching as much as I have enjoyed taking part.”

In one of her most candid interviews ever, Stella Damasus opened up about her life, struggles, her first and second marriage & what we care most about, her relationship with Daniel Adenimokun. She said she didn't steal him and implied that when she met him, he was already single.

Speaking with Emma Emerson of Golden Icons, Stella Damasus opened up about her relationship with Daniel. She said;

"Let me put it this way. Let me help you hit the nail on the head. One of the comments I have seen consistently, over and over again, is ‘Stella snatches somebody’s husband’, ‘Stella the husband snatcher’, which is what has been going on. And I had sworn that I would never talk about it, or even listen or stress myself about this thing but I have decided to do this now, so that I end this once and for all.

Taliban raid Pakistan primary school, kill 80 children

Islamic terror group, the Taliban, around 10 this morning launched a deadly attack on a military-run primary school in Northwestern city of Peshawar in Pakistan, killing 100 people, 80 of them children, according to the BBC. They are also reportedly holding over 100 children hostage. Over 500 students have so far been evacuated.

According to reports, the militants stormed the school's auditorium this morning where the students were learning first aid training from the military and started shooting.

Two reportedly dead 'including gunman' as police raid Australian cafe

According to the UK Daily Mail, an Iranian-born gunman was killed and one of his hostages is feared dead in a dramatic and chaotic firefight as police stormed a Sydney cafe to end the terrorist siege.

Teams of heavily armed police swooped on the Lindt Chocolat cafe in a hail of gunfire, ending a tense stand-off where a jihadist had been holding around 20 people captive for 17 hours.

There were that at least three others were injured, but this could not immediately be confirmed.
