Insurgency worsens under Buhari - Ike Ekweremadu

Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu says insurgency has worsened since the inauguration of the present administration. He said Boko haram was already being rolled out of Nigeria before the elections but surprisingly they have increased their attacks and spread to other parts of Nigeria

"I am worried about the insurgence of the Boko Haram activities in Nigeria.  Shortly before the inauguration of the present government, the country had almost rolled back Boko Haram and its activities in every part of Nigeria, from Adamawa to Borno to Yobe. I was hoping that when we come back in the 8th Assembly, that I will work with our colleagues from the North-East to develop a plan of action that will help to rehabilitate that part of Nigeria.

Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has launched a scathing attack against the verdict of the coroner’s court in Lagos yesterday which ruled the tragic collapse of a building within his church last year was due to structural failure.

"The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations rejects the verdict of the coroner on the grounds that it is unreasonable, one-sided and biased,” a statement released via their official Facebook page read, attributed to Barr. Olalekan Ojo, lead counsel to The SCOAN.

President Muhammadu Buhari laments state of Nigeria’s military

Beyonce's body has been made into an Australian skyscraper by a design firm. Famed design firm Elenberg Fraser has the greenlight to erect a 68-story building in Melbourne ... which it says copies Beyonce’s form in her “Ghost” video. 

The firm says the Beyonce tower design isn't just for show, it actually makes sense structurally. The final product will house 600 apartments and a hotel.

NFF confirms Sunday Oliseh as new Super Eagles coach, approves Dutch Assistant

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has confirmed that former Nigeria international football player, Sunday Oliseh will coach the Super Eagles with a team that will include a Dutch man as an assistant.
A manager close to Oliseh in Europe, confirmed this on Wednesday that the former Eagles captain had accepted the job offer and would work with an assistant from Europe.
He said,

 “I can confirm that Sunny has accepted the offer and he will be working with an assistant coming down from Europe as well.”

APC and PDP at war over source of bailout funds

Top members of the APC and the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are reportedly divided over the sources of the N804.7 billion relief package being considered to bail out states who haven't paid workers salaries.

45-year old Lawrence Agbe (pictured above) was on July 7th arrested by security officials at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport Ikeja Lagos while trying to transport fake dollar bills totaling $2.1 million from Lagos to Abuja.

While speaking on the arrest, the Commissioner of Police for the command, Mr. Fredrick Lakanu, said during interrogation Lawrence said the fake dollar bills were owned by one Steve.

"After further interrogation, the suspect mentioned one Steve residing in Abuja as the owner of the said €1.25m. But Steve is at large.”CP Lakanu said
