According to this poll conducted by NOI and shared by presidential media aide Mr Shehu Garba, 70% of Nigerians say they approve of President Buhari's job performance in June which marked his first 30 days in office. Results of the poll showed that the north-east, north-central and north-west recorded the highest approval percentages while South-east and south-south recorded the lowest.

President Buhari met with the newly appointed Service Chiefs at the State House yesterday. While addressing the new Service Chiefs, President Buhari charged the men to work towards restoring the lost glory of the Nigerian military. According to him, they were all appointed on merit.
“All of you, including the National Security Adviser, were chosen on merit. Your records gave you the job. Save for the new Chief of Army Staff whom I briefly met at his Command at the Multi-National Joint Task Force, in Chad, I don’t know any of you. Your records recommended you. Legally, you are in acting capacity until the National Assembly accepts you. It is only then that you will take the oath of office. Thereafter, we will sit down and talk in more detail,” he them.

Pres. Muhammadu Buhari sacks all Service Chiefs
President Buhari has sacked all Service Chiefs. Their sack was made known by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina while he spoke to state house correspondents yesterday.
The fired service chiefs include the Chief of Defence staff, and the heads of Army, Navy and the Air Force. Details later.

Boko Haram members have released their first ISIS like video showing the gruesome beheading of a captured military officer. President Buhari and VP Yemi Osinbajo take 50% pay cut
The presidency announced yesterday that President Buhari and VP Osinbajo have decided to take a pay cut. They will now only receive 50% of what Jonathan and Sambo received during their administration.
“I write to forward the completed IPPIS registration form of Mr. President and to draw your kind attention to Mr. President’s directive that only 50% of his salary be paid to him,” the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Nebolisa Emodi wrote to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation yesterdayOsinbajo also agreed to take a pay cut. Buhari will now receive 50% of his annual N14, 058,820.00.
