Buhari has set up a committee whose sole responsibility will be to recover all government properties like cars, houses, generators and others that are still in the possession of aides of former president Jonathan even after they have left office.
Revealing this to newsmen on Sunday August 16th, the Senior Special Assistant on media & publicity to the president, Garba Shehu, said the committee which will comprise of civil servants and security agents, will soon begin to go recover the properties and that the entire process wasn't designed to embarrass anyone but rather do what is right and fair to the Nigerian people.

Buhari today showered kind words on controversial cleric, Fr. Ejike Mbaka, spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu who celebrated 20 years of priesthood today July 29th. In a statement signed by presidential media aide, Shehu Garba, President Buhari described the cleric as a man who dares to speak the truth to anyone in power.
“Mbaka is a great priest who is not afraid to speak truth, even at the cost of his own life or being hated by those in power. He rose to the occasion to add his voice in support of good governance and identify with ordinary Nigerians in the face of despair and uncertain future. A 22-year-old British Airways stewardess died suddenly in a hotel in Angola. Emily Dunn, (circled) who had a suspected heart condition, was found dead in her room in Angola after she failed to arrive for a flight back to Heathrow, London, on July 16.

US Government gave President Buhari names of oil thieves - Source
According to a report by Punch, the US government handed over the names of Nigerian oil thieves to President Buhari during his last trip to the country. A member of the President’s entourage during the trip told the newspaper;
"I can tell you that the President already has the list of names of the people engaging in the stealing of Nigeria’s oil. The list, when released by the President, will shock Nigerians. But let’s wait and see first,” the source said.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Brigadier-General P.T. Boroh (rtd.) as the Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme for former Niger Delta militants. Brig. Boroh, whose appointment takes immediate effect, is to take over the responsibilities of the former Special Adviser to President Jonathan on Niger Delta who also doubled as Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme.

Jacob Nwachukwu from Abia State cut off his wife’s left hand over allegation of infidelity. The man’s wife, Mrs Nwadiokeonu Nwachukwu, is now at a hospital in Aba, while her severed hand had been taken to her husband’s village at Abala for burial.
The incident happened, Monday, at Ogbor Hill Area of Aba, where the woman had lived for years, while the husband lived at their Abala village.

The former Chief Security Officer of former president Jonathan, Mr Gordon Obua is reportedly lying critically ill at the National hospital. According to friends of the former CSO who shared his photo on Facebook, Mr Obua has continued to suffer both physically and mentally and has been in great pain since the day he returned home on July 21st after being detained by the DSS. They say his abdomen is swollen and he has great difficulty moving around.
