Khloe Kardashian files for divorce from Lamar Odom for the second time

Khloe Kardashian has filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Lamar Odom for a second time. She filed the legal documents on Thursday, seven months after putting a halt to proceedings after Lamar's near death collapse at a brothel in Vegas. She halted the proceedings then so she could take charge of taking care of him.
She cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for her petition seeking to formally end her marriage.

Women from Rivers state protest harrassment and arrest of their paramount ruler by the Nigerian Army

A group of women from Yeghe Community gathered Wednesday, May 25, to protest the harrassment and arrest of their paramount ruler, HRH Barinadaa Gbaranee by soldiers.
According to Thisday, soldiers from the 2 Brigade Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, stationed in Bori, on Monday arrested the monarch (pictured) after his house vandalized.

'I can't stop Ekiti workers from going on strike, these are perilous times' - Fayose says

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose says he cannot stop workers in the Ekiti state civil service who intend to go on strike over unpaid salaries. Fayose said this in an interview session with pressmen on Wednesday May 25th

"I want to make some clarification particularly on issues that affects the welfare of our workers. I want to say very expressly that workers are the engine room of government and they deserve all the encouragement but currently we are in crisis financially, the average wage bill in terms of payment of workers is between 2.5 to 2.6billion which includes parastatals, university, college of education and all that.

United Airlines to end their flights to Nigeria after June 30th

After years of operating a daily route from Houston to Lagos, United Airlines will stop flying to Nigeria next month. Their last fight will be on June 30th, ending the airline's only route to Africa. They confirmed this to a twitter user who asked them if it was true.

40 Nigerians accused of committing immigration offences deported from UK & Australia

The United Kingdom and Australia jointly deported 40 Nigerians (33 males and 7 females) accused of committing immigration and other unspecified offences. The deportees arrived at the hajj camp area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) at 7:25a.m yesterday, with chartered aircraft and an Air Seychelles flight. The Nigerian Immigration Service confirmed the deportation.
Along with other various agencies such as the Police, National Agency for Protection and Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and other relevant stakeholders, the NIS checked their identities to ascertain their nationalities.
