35 year old Super Eagles striker Peter Osaze Odemwingie has joked of his infamous failed move to QPR football club in 2013 where he drove 150miles to QPR's training ground and appeared on television claiming he was hopeful a deal between then club West Brom and QPR would go ahead. He referred to QPR as “we” in the interview, only for QPR to refuse signing him which turned the player a laughing stock among his west Brom team mates as he had already wished them goodbye.

Dollar scarcity: Banks suspend usage of Naira debit/credit cards for transactions abroad

As part of efforts to manage the dollar crisis, Deposit Money Banks in Nigeria have sent out messages to their customers notifying them that they cannot use their Naira debit/credit cards for any transaction abroad for now.

A message sent by one of the banks pictured above, states that all transactions done outside Nigeria will henceforth be via a dollar debit/credit card.

University of Lagos expels 125, rusticates 198 students

The management of the University of Lagos has expelled 125 students and rusticated 198 others after they were found guilty of various misconducts such as examination malpractices during last academic session, smoking band substances such as Marijuana in hall of residence, impersonation in examination halls and others.

According to the Deputy Registrar (Information), Toyin Adebule, names and photos of the affected students have been published on the school's website and will soon be published in the media alongside their photographs.

Meanwhile, parents of the girls will meet with them in Abuja today October 16th. They left Chibok community yesterday evening to Abuja where they will meet their daughters who they haven't seen for over two years.
