Now that Donald Trump has won the U.S. presidential election, Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated him saying he hopes there'll be a fresh start in U.S.-Russia relations.

In a telegram, the Russian leader said he was confident he and Trump could start "a constructive dialogue based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and genuine consideration for each other's positions."

Court grants Femi Fani-Kayode N50m bail

The Federal High Court Abuja, has granted former PDP Presidential campaign spokesperson, Femi Fani-Kayode, bail in the sum of N50m, and one surety in like sum. Fani-Kayode who was re-arrested by EFCC operatives last month, is standing trial for money laundering to the tune of N26m.

Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, Wednesday, stated that he will not destroy his United States’ residency permit just yet; while he warned that the victory of Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential race could jeopardize U.S. support in Nigeria’s fight against Boko Haram.

In an interview with Newsweek, Soyinka stated that Trump’s ‘bunker mentality’ could see the U.S. withdraw support for counter-terrorism operations in West Africa.

Chinese teen sells her body online in order to save her cancer stricken mother

 A 19-year-old girl in China identified as Cao Mengyuan, posted an advertisement online to sell ‘herself’ in return for money which she intends to use as her ill mother's medical treatment.

Cao posted the advertisement titled '(I am) selling myself' on WeChat, where she disclosed in a post that the treatment would cost around 350,000 Yuan (£41,000), but whoever offered the highest price would win the right to 'use her body at will'.

Appeal Court nullifies monthly environmental sanitation in Lagos State

The Appeal Court in Lagos has described as illegal the monthly environmental sanitation exercise held in the state. Delivering judgment in a suit filed by a resident of the state, Faith Okafor against the Lagos State Government (Respondent) over the weekend, Justice Ugochukwu Ogakwu of the Court of Appeal said their was no law written in the state that validates the restrain put on members of the public not to leave their homes between 7am to 10am as instructed by the state government during any of the monthly sanitation exercise.
