Paris Robbery: French Police release Kim Kardashian's chauffeur and two others

As at this morning, the Paris prosecutor's office confirmed that three of the suspects in the Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery have been released. Kim's chauffeur and 16 others were detained Monday during raids across France.

The driver has been released along with two others as the investigation continues into the armed robbery of the reality star in October 2016.

There are reports circulating of a classified document that contains “explosive — but unverified” allegations against the US President-Elect, Donald Trump. The document allegedly gives evidence of trysts between the business tycoon and Russian sex workers which were documented by the Russians.

According to reports, Trump arranged ‘golden showers’ in which he paid Russian prostitutes to urinate on a bed in a hotel in Moscow on which the Obamas once slept.

New strain of bird flu enters Nigeria, spreads to 26 states and Abuja

A new strain of Avian Influenza Virus, bird flu, has entered the country and spread into 26 states and also to the federal capital territory, Abuja.

This was revealed by Chief Audu Ogbeh, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, during a meeting with stakeholders in the agriculture and livestock industry in Abuja on Tuesday.
Over 3.5 million birds have been affected by the new strain of this virus which is believed to be more devastating than others experienced in the country. Neighbouring countries have reportedly banned the purchase of poultry and poultry products from Nigeria in a bid to keep their country free of the disease.

Uganda: Man buried with $5,700 to bribe God when he gets to his destination

52-year-old Charles Obong, a former public service officer, who died on December 17, 2016, after a long illness was buried with Shs200million ($5,700) with which he'll use to ''bribe God'' when he gets to his destination.
Obong who worked as a senior personnel officer in the ministry of Public Service for 10 years had reportedly left a Will, instructing his wife, Margaret Obong, to deposit huge sums in his coffin. The money was meant to be offered to God so his soul could be redeemed and saved from hell. He also told his siblings, Justin Ngole and Helen Aber, to be witnesses and ensure his wife follows through on his Will.

Tanzanian singer dies after she was brutally beaten by her husband

A female Tanzanian artiste died last week after she was mercilessly beaten by her husband. Kijakazi Pazi Shaban, who was once a member of Kidedea music group – and known by her stage name Zamzam, died at her home in Musoma.

Her husband, a police officer, Hamad Ally took Shaban’s body to a morgue in Temeke, Dar es Salaam after she succumbed to her injuries.

NUPENG begins 3-day warning strike today, as FG moves to stop action

The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has commenced a 3-day warning strike over failure of some multinational oil companies to address the welfare of their workers as well as continuous job losses in the oil and gas sector.

The Federal Government is billed to have a meeting with the leadership of the union today and the outcome of the meeting will determine if the strike will be continued or be called off.
