Many people are feared dead after three bombs went off at a crowded motorpark in Adamawa state this morning. The attack is believed to have been carried out by suspected Boko Haram members. The state police command have cordoned off the area. Casualty figure is yet unknown.

A horny monkey on the Japanese island of Yakushima was filmed trying to mate with two female Sika deer almost twice its size. In the footage which was taken in November 2014, the monkey mounted the first female and when it encountered no resistance, unsuccessfully tried to relieve its sexual pressure.

Lagos state police plans to arraign me in court on phony charges- Sahara Reporters publisher, Sowore alleges

He was arrested yesterday after a UK-based journalist, Lekan Fatodu, petitioned the state police over a report Sowore wrote alleging that he was used to launder money by former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode when he was in office.

17-year-old girl, Zarau was on her way to her sister's house in Kimba village, Jega council area of Kebbi State when a four-man gang of criminals led by one Aliyu Sarkin Mata accosted her. They kidnapped, raped her repeatedly and later strangled her to death. Her lifeless body was found in a bush three days after she was declared missing.

Niger Delta Avengers declare "Operations Walls of Jericho and Hurricane Joshua”

Militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, who were responsible for various attacks on oil installations in the Niger Delta Region in 2016, have released their first statement for 2017, basically announcing an end to their ceasefire in the coming months, as negotiations have failed. Senate rejects ban on car importation through land borders

The senate yesterday rejected the Federal government's proposed ban on vehicle importation by road in the country. At its plenary which was presided over by deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, yesterday January 11th, the senate called on the Nigeria Customs Service to immediately suspend the policy on the outright ban on the importation of vehicles through the country’s land borders which took effect from January 1st this year.
