Mohammed Masaba, Nigerian Islamic cleric who married 97 wives dies at 93

Niger State-based Islamic preacher and traditional healer who married 97 wives, Mohammed Masaba, has died. He was age 93.

His Personal Assistant, Alhaji Mutairu Salawudeen Bello, who confirmed Masaba’s death, said that the preacher died in his residence in Bida, Niger State, on Saturday, January 28th, after a brief illness. He would be buried today at 10:AM.

Four men arrested for gang-raping corp members in Abia State

Four men, have been arrested by the Abia state police force for gang-raping some corp members.
According to Punch, the men; Ifeagwu Kalu, also known as Eskimo, 34; Nkeiru John Iwuoha, also known as Damage, 40; Chukwu Ogbonnaya, 26; and Onyebuchi Kalu, were arrested also for raping and terrorising other women at Elughu Nkporo and its environs.

After a failed attempt to arrest him in Ekiti state last Wednesday, the Department of State Security, has invited controversial Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, for interrogation over his recent comments asking Christians to attack armed herdsmen that try to attack them. The Nigeria Police has declared one Lilian Omekara wanted for the offence of conspiracy and stealing by conspiring with fraudsters to transfer over N29million to her account. She has since withdrawn the money and is currently at large.

Pres. Donald Trump bans all refugees from entering the US for 4 months, Syrian refugees indefinitely

The reality of Donald Trump's hardline stance on immigration came into force last night when he ordered a four-month ban on all refugees entering the US. The President also singled out refugees from Syria as barred from entering the country indefinitely, or until he himself decides they are allowed in. No visas will be issued to immigrants from seven mainly-Muslim nations including Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen for 90 days.
