Wait for 2019 to conclude if we have done well or not - Amaechi tells Nigerians

Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, has asked Nigerians to wait till 2019 before judging this administration. According to Amaechi, the Buhari-led administration did not promise to come in and fix all of Nigeria's problems within a year. He said this when he spoke at the Federal government North Central town hall meeting for the people of Kwara, Niger and Kogi states which held in Kwara state yesterday.

"We did not promise you that those challenges will be solved in one year or you would have given us a one-year mandate. But you gave us four years mandate. So wait till the end of four years before you can conclude that we have not done well” he said

40 years after, lost recordings of Bob Marley have been restored after it was found in a damp hotel basement in London. The tapes are the original, high-quality live recordings of the reggae legend's concerts in London and Paris. Tracks include 'No Woman No Cry', 'Jamming' and 'Exodus.'
The recordings are from concerts at the Lyceum in London (1975), the Hammersmith Odeon (1976), the Rainbow, also in London (1977), and the Pavilion de Paris (1978).

Boko Haram attacks military base, burns community in Yobe state

Suspected Boko Haram members yesterday attacked a military base in Yobe state and attacked Sasawa community in the state, burning many houses and other properties. According to residents of the community, the sect members arrived in three Hilux vans and two motorcycles.

The sect members reportedly dislodged the military men in the community. The state commissioner of police, Sumonu Abdulmaliki, confirmed the attack to newsmen.
