An 8 year-old boy has shot his five year-old sister to death after they were left home alone with their mother's boyfriend's gun. The mother left them to go to the store when the little boy picked up the gun and fired a single shot at his sister, Serenity Allen, who died instantly.

Speaking at the opening of the 14th National Biennial Conference of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Osinbajo said what the Federal government has done was to allow Governor Nasir El-Rufai exercise his constituted authority as the governor of the state, to manage the crisis.

Imo state government drops non-indigenes from free education programme in Universities

The Imo State Government has dropped non-indigenes, especially in its University and other State owned tertiary Institutions in the State, from its Free Education Programme.

A statement by the state governor, Rochas Okorocha's chief press secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, states that the government decided to drop the non-indegenes because since the inception of the programme five years ago, non-indigenes have been benefitting from the programme without indigenes of the State enjoying similar programmes in other States.

Madonna granted permission to adopt 4 year old twin girls from Malawi

Madonna has been granted permission to adopt twin girls from Malawi less than two weeks after denying she was looking to expand her family. The Like A Virgin popstar has been granted an adoption order for twins Esther and Stella, four, by the Malawi High Court, and is free to take them to the US.

Madonna will be under observation by the court for a year before the adoption process is finalised, and a home study must be submitted to authorities.
