Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, says Nigerians should be ready to see the president in Flesh very soon. He said this in an interview with Channels TV this morning. When responding to a question on the possibility of Nigerians hearing President Buhari talk either on telephone or a broadcast, he said

"As a matter of fact, they should be getting ready to see the President in Flesh. That would be as soon as possible".

Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma, says the Federal Government does not have any intention of increasing taxes or VAT but is working towards increasing its internally generated revenue through the broadening of its tax base.

Weapons confiscated during the arrest of Nigerian and Algerian nationals suspected of plotting terror attack in Germany (photos)

A Nigerian man and an Algerian man were detained in central Germany last Thursday on suspicion of preparing an attack with a machete and guns, which were confiscated, as about 450 police officers swooped down on 12 locations. Eleven of the 12 raided sites were in or near the university town of Göttingen, in the state of Lower Saxony; the other was in the northern part of the state of Hesse.

Bayelsa man apprehended for attempting to kill his daughters in their sleep

Ekpokemem Odoni, 57, has been arrested for trying to kill two of his daughters, Ezonboere Odoni, 23, and Miemene Odoni, 16, with a machete while they were asleep in their home in Agudama, Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa state.
The man told officers of the Bayelsa Police Command that he cut his daughters on their heads, hands and legs with a machete because he overheard them plotting to kill him.
