'President Buhari has his right to his vacation; if Buhari will speak to Nigerians, it will be his choice'- Femi Adesina says

Speaking on the programme, 'This Morning on TVC', Mr Femi Adesina,, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, responded to those who doubt the authenticity of the photos of Senator Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara when they visited President Buhari in London, by calling them haters of the president.  He said:
‘Mr. President will not speak to Nigerians because he has the ‘right to his vacation, we don’t need to intrude.

Photos: IDPs in Borno state allegedly being fed with spoilt beans

Facebook user, Yaga Allen claims that some IDPs at Teachers Village IDP camp in Borno state, were given these spoilt beans to cook and eat yesterday. According to him, the IDPs were given the spoilt beans on Wednesday and Thursday. Corroborating this claim is Chibok leader and spokesperson, Manasseh Alleh, who visited the camp and shared photos of the IDPs with the rotten beans.

23-year-old mother of two survived after she was gang-raped by some thugs, then tied to the rails where she watched as an oncoming train crushed her lower body in Timboni area in Kibarani, Mombasa.
Giving a chilling account from her hospital bed, the traumatized young woman said the assailants, who she identified as Kirenje and Otii, first raped her in turns, then hacked her with a machete just next to her private parts, before they tied her legs across the railway line and abandoned her to be crashed by a train.

Court orders forfeiture of former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke’s N34b

Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court Lagos, has ordered the forfeiture of about N34 billion linked to former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. Anti-graft agency, EFCC, had asked the court to order the forfeiture after its investigations showed that the money was diverted from NNPC's accounts.

Delivering judgement in the application filed by EFCC, Justice Hassan said he was satisfied with the evidence provided by the EFCC.

89-year-old woman whose friendship with 31-year-old roommate warmed hearts, has died

Norma Cook, the 89-year-old woman whose friendship with her neighbor, 31, melted hearts across the world, died in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning. 65-year-old woman murdered by ritualists In Delta state

The riverrine community of Okwagbe in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State was thrown into pandemonium on Wednesday following the killing of one Atisin Opviarho in her farm by persons suspected to be ritual killers. Punch gathered that the 65-year-old woman was found with her throat slit.

It was learnt that the mother of five, who had left with other local farmers in the early hours of the day, was not seen when it was time to leave, prompting others to search for her.
