President Robert Mugabe rules out retirement ahead of 93rd birthday

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe who will be 93 tomorrow, February 21, 2017, has ruled out retirement saying he has no 'acceptable' successor in place. In excerpts culled out from a radio broadcast that will later air this week, the world's oldest national leader, who has been in power since Zimbabwe's independence in 1980, said:

TV Host/online columnist, Piers Morgan, has written a public letter to U.S President, Donald Trump urging him to end his war with the media and focus on delivering the promises he made to the American people during his campaign.

The letter is made all the more interesting, as Morgan is Donald Trump's friend and avid supporter. In his column for the DailyMail UK posted yesterday, Piers Morgan blasted media agencies but also positively criticized the U.S President.

According to Vanguard, Sakiru told the police that he never intended to kill his ex-wife. “I called her on February 13th and she came to see me at home. Later, both of us went to the Island. It was on our way back that a commercial bus hit the bike that we boarded and she fell, hitting her head on the ground.

Security men at the Abuja House in London where President Buhari is staying, yesterday called the police to arrest a correspondent of The Guardian newspaper who had arrived the premises, demanding to see President Buhari so he could interview him.

According to a report by the newspaper, after the reporter arrived the Abuja house which is the official residence of the Nigerian High commissioner to the UK in the afternoon, demanding to see the president, a member of staff at the premises told him that the President wasn't there.

Former NNPC boss, Andrew Yakubu, has asked the Federal High Court in Kano to issue an order compelling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC to return the $9.8 million and £74,000 recently seized from one of his homes in Kaduna state.

In a suit filed by his counsel, Ahmed Raji, SAN, Yakubu asked the court to set aside the ordered granting FG ownership of the money discovered at his home on February 3rd.

A baby factory where teenage girls get pregnant and are aided to sell off their babies for as low as N300,000, has been discovered along Bukuru park in Jos, the Plateau state capital. The baby factory was discovered by some men of the Nigerian Army's Operation, Safe Haven.
The Commander of OPSH, Major General Rogers Nicholas, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the discovery was made following a tipoff from one of the victms of the baby factory, Happiness John.
