Kaduna Government confirm renewed attacks in Southern Kaduna, orders Army Commander, Police Commissioner to relocate to affected areas

The Kaduna State Government has confirmed reports of renewed attacks in some villages in Southern Kaduna. The state governor Nasir El-Rufai in a press statement released by his media aide, Samuel Aruwan, says unknown gunmen in a coordinated attack invaded Bakin Kogi, Kaninkon Village in Jemaa Local Government Area in the State on Sunday 19th February, 2017 at about 5:30pm.

EFCC arrests car dealer for alleged forgery

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Sunday arrested one Oruku Oluwafemi, a car dealer, for forgery in the case involving five former students of Federal University of Technology Akure and Adekunle Ajasin, Akangba (AAUA) respectively.

No cause for worry, I needed a longer period of rest - Pres Buhari to Nigerians

President Buhari on Tuesday thanked Nigerians for prayers over his health, stating results of the series of medical checkups he carried out had shown that he needed longer period of rest.
A statement by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina said there is no cause for worry. The statement did not say when the President will return. It reads;

Man kills friend over a woman in Ogun state (photo)

A 43-year-old man, Adebisi Akinrinmola pictured above, has been arrested by men of the Ogun state police command for allegedly killing his friend, 36 year old Ademola Asimiyu, over a lady they were both interested in. According to police report, the incident occurred on Sunday 19 February, 2017 at Ajebo Village in Ijebu-Igbo area of Ogun State.

According to internet records gathered by CNN, before US president, Donald Trump reached the White House, his company had laid claim to at least 3,643 website domains. The buying spree continued as he ran for president. Trump bought 93 of them after he launched his presidential campaign.

Dubai set to launch flying drone taxis in July

The chairman of the city's road in Dubai and Transport Authority, Mattar Al Tayer has revealed that Dubai will have autonomous taxi drones zipping around its skyline this summer. Speaking at the recent World Government Summit, a gathering of tech and government leaders at Dubai, he said:
'I am glad to inform you that hopefully, we will be able to have these drones available, starting July 2017.'

Over 60,000 Christians in Katsina state begin fasting and prayer session for President Buhari

Over 60,000 Christians in Katsina state have begun a fasting and prayer session over President Buhari's health. Chairman of the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Reverend Onyeka Chukwu, disclosed this to newsmen at a press conference in the state capital, Katsina Sunday.
According to Chukwu, the state Christians will be praying for speedy recovery for President Buhari who is currently in the UK for vacation and medical checkup.

President Robert Mugabe rules out retirement ahead of 93rd birthday

According to Vanguard, Sakiru told the police that he never intended to kill his ex-wife. “I called her on February 13th and she came to see me at home. Later, both of us went to the Island. It was on our way back that a commercial bus hit the bike that we boarded and she fell, hitting her head on the ground.
