3 confirmed dead in a robbery attack at a bank in Ondo state

Three persons have been confirmed dead in a robbery attack that took place at a Skye Bank branch in Ogbagi Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State today.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers who were armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed the bank at about 2pm this afternoon and started shooting. They were engaged in serious gun battle with security operatives stationed at the bank.

Angry mother pours hot soup on daughter in Benin (photos)

A woman identified as Tricia Oterneghoro, has been arrested for pouring hot soup on her 13 year old daughter, Joyce Emmanuel for sleeping in a neighbour's house.

Narrating what led to the assault, the young girl said that when she wanted to go have her bath the previous night, her mom warned her not to go but she insisted. This made her mother lock the door leaving her outside in the cold.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo flags off construction of Lagos-Ibadan railway line (photos)

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo today flagged off the construction work for the $1.5bn standard gauge rail line from Lagos to Ibadan. The proposed156.65km Lagos-Ibadan rail is a double line, which is the first phase of a new Lagos-Kano standard gauge line.

Court denies Apostle Suleman’s application to remand Stephanie Otobo in prison

Justice Kikelomo Bukola Ayeye, the chief magistrate of the Lagos State Magistrate Court in Tinubu, has denied a request to remand one Wisdom Godstime and Stephanie Otobo, a lady in an explosive case who claims to have had an affair with Apostle Johnson Suleiman, founder of Omega Fire Ministry Worldwide.

The judge ruled that there is no substantial evidence to deny Stephanie her fundamental right to freedom, and hence granted her bail on liberal terms.

Breaking: Audu Maikori collapses at Muson Center while taking selfie fans

Today, Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori collapsed at the on-going 2017 Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) holding at Muson Center.

The immediate cause of his collapse is not know yet but he was however revived by doctors at the venue and he has since been taken to St Nicholas hospital for further treatment.

Audu had just finished moderating the Q and A sessions with Mo Abudu and was taking selfie with fans before he collapsed.
