Veteran actor Prince James Uche has died

Veteran actor Prince James Uche who has been battling with Diabetes, Blindness, BP and kidney disease, has died. He died this afternoon March 8th at a private medical hospital in Festac town where he had been for two years now. He had been unconcious for the past 5 days and was on his way for dialysis in an ambulance when he died at 2:15pm. He was scheduled to travel to India this Saturday for further treatment. He was 55 years old.

He is survived by a wife and three children. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Three Nigerian banks are reportedly set to take over the management of telecommunications company, Etisalat, over unpaid N541.8 billion debt. According to reports, Etisalat had obtained a loan facility totalling $1.72 billion (about N541.8 billion) in 2015 from a consortium of some foreign and Nigerian banks including Guaranty Trust Bank, Access Bank and Zenith Bank.

EFCC arraigns “Ghost Worker” for N11 million fraud (photo)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday arraigned one Dairo Seun before Justice A. B. Mohammed of the FCT High Court, Jabi, Abuja for a N11,346,000 fraud.

The Ministry of Finance had petitioned the EFCC in February 2016 requesting for “payroll fraud investigation”. It was part of efforts to unravel various techniques used by fraudsters to defraud the Nigerian government by way of ghost workers.
